Nope, my understanding is that's you're voltage output. Set it all the way up.

Ok... I've bitten the bullet, and have packed up all my Spektrum gear to send back to the Australian distributor for service and possible firmware upgrade. I have enclosed a letter stating the problems/issues that I have been experiencing with it. Hope it doesn't take too long... I'm kinda giving myself at least 2 months to wait, so I guess this is a good time as any to take a break. Hopefully when I get it all back, it will be all OK. (fingers crossed)

*sigh*.... just as I was on the way to the Post Office, I received a call from the LHS... They just received the replacement TX aerial in stock. I decided to try the replacement aerial first before sending it out...

On replacement of the aerial, I noticed that the wire runs extremely close to the chip, and at certain angles, will foul it quite badly. The new replacement lead was quite a bit longer, so it would have a lot more clearance in that area.

Tried it out with the gear installed, and seems to have fixed the problem . I wll try it at the track and keep you guys informed.

<fingers crossed>

Or, more correctly, I TRIED to rebind, and tried, and tried, and tried... Finally after about 7 attempts, the receiver re-bound OK, and I removed the bind plug and everything is OK, including the fail safe settings. The concern is WHY was it so hard to rebind -- more importantly, is there going to be a problem if I have to rebind again in the future...? I just don't like it when things "mostly work"...

Other than this one issue, everything is fine, and the LOSI receiver has a SHORT antenna wire, making it much easier to 'hide' it under the body of my dirt late model body...
Gary K ( or anyone ) -- any ideas on why it was so hard to re-bind the LOSI MRX-3000 receiver with my DX3.0 transmitter...?

Default shutdowns

Hello. I am having a few roblems with my spektrum. Both cars, a 1/12th and a 10th keep shutting down. They totally turn off. Usually the car runs a bit, for me to check trims and line up , then it goes dead. I have tried brushed systems (robotronic icube) and brushless (gtb - 4cell) in the 12th. and GTB brushless in th 10th.

both cars run 4cell. the 12th has a power cap on the reciver but that did nothing to help. The only thing common to both cars are the batteries and the transmitter module. The batteries seem fine as they discharge out at 30 amps with no cell dieing way before another. This leaves me with only the transmitter. I admit the ariel is busted of the base but the connector wire is still ok. he system is the older unit (grey coloured) 10th car has the old reciever, 12th has the tiny pro one.

can the spektrum really make the car turn of completely though ? None of this happens if i put the old 40meg set in.

It sounds like you're losing signal for some reason and the receiver is going into its failsafe mode. The broken antenna is definately not going to help the situation.

I tried to get the MRX-3000 to have a problem binding with a number of different systems...the Losi radio, my JR Z-1 with a Pro Series Module, and the DX3R. It bound perfectly each and every time. I know I have seen people have had issues and that's why I tried to duplicate the problem. Couldn't. I wish I had a reccomendation.

Thanks for trying... It's probably something unique -- maybe the bind plug didn't make good contact, or something like that. I really appreciate the good work you do supporting your products.

THANKS again!

Thanks man. I'm a racer too and frankly if someone is having an issue it means that it might be an issue I would run into in the future or have run into in the past. Its in everyone's best interest to try to get things figured out. Unfortunately it's tough to do some of it over the web.

Ready to send both TX/RX in for service. I bought it a month ago at a National event after having big glitch problems. Worked great and no further radio issues experienced during the event. I noticed at the time that I did not get full EPA swing either L or R but it was enough to get through the event (oval capped tire event not much needed). I figured I'd spend more time reading and adjust after I got home. Found this thread and remember one person having same issue.

I've adjusted L/R EPA radio up/down, tried different servos etc,, left maybe get 50% EPA at the most, right may 5%. No binds or centering (trim) issues. Ideas before sending back? Thx
Tom

A bunch of us are using that receiver now and they seem to work just fine. I guess the cat's out of the bag now.

Gary,
It is the Spektrum Tx, 2 channel Radio. It was easy for me since I already had the JR FM synth radio, menu, button everything was the same except the glitches! Reciever is the one with the blue button. Thx Tom

I need more specifics, is it a DX2 or DX2.0? Does the receiver case say SR3000?
