I have a jr z1 with the pro spektrum module I am using all grey recievers, no the "pro models".I am only getting about 180-200 feet before I loose contact with the nitro powered car, the failsafe is not kicking in the car just rolls to a stop.I know the failsafe is programmed right because when i test it on the bench it works fine. The last time the car disconnected I left the radio on my tailgate and walked the 200 or so ft distance to get the car I noticed the failsafe not engauged, the green light on the reciever was on and solid both servos were also in thier neutral positions..no humming jittering no nothing.so i set the car back on the ground and walked back to the truck and there was no connection to the radio.I grabbed the car and brought it back to the truck and everything worked as it should, and it does untill the 200 foot mark or so.I have a dx3.0 aswell and when that radio was installed it never disconnected but at 300 or so feet the signal would get really really delayed.I would pull the trigger and about a half a second or so later the car would recieve the signal i sent it.I called horizon about it and they just gave me the"I dont know" and said to send in the radios, I find it hard to believe that 2 different modules in the jr radio and the 6 recievers i have all being defective..all the gear is brand new also.Im using a 1200 mah batt pack in one car and a 2000 mah pack in the other car at this point i have ruled out the batteries as a possibility. There is a really big race in like 2 days im going to and im hoping to fix this whatever it is before then any advice is appriciated.
Thanks for your help in advance.

There's no upgade or trade-in program to send in old receivers and have them exchanged with Pro Series units. Sorry.

I am looking to purchase the dx3r, but i really dont like so much the steering wheel looking, could anybody tell if it is changeable to other brands optional wheel with its own wheel adapter or from other manufacturers, for example: sanwa, ko or futaba, but with some modification?
Thanks!
Thanks!

If the green light is on, it IS getting a signal. The light goes out when it is not receiving any signal. Make sure your servo leads are securely plugged into the receiver. A loose connection here would cause the servos to cut out like you're describing. I would also re-bind the radio and receiver just in case. Beyond these basic things, I really don't know what to tell you without being able to see things.

It's free, just send it in.
Without checking the manual I believe the length can be trimmed to 3.6 inches, but double check the manual. That's on the SR3000 and SR3001. There's no real need to trim the antenna on the SR3500 Micro Receiver

Purchased 2 pro systems and an extrw receiver at the urging of my racing buddies. One of the receivers would go into fail safe about every other battery and usually at the end of the straight. Tried rebinding any # of times with no good result. Sent that one in for repair or replacement. Another receiver started fsing on me just recently, but only once or twice a race day. One has been flawless. I have Jr R1 Tx's and run Jonson 540 (mabuchi) motors with approx. 1/3 the amp draw of standard stock motor. I'm getting a little nervous . So far haven't broken too much but-----. Should I send the other receiver in also??? Am I the poor schmuck that just happened to get 2 faulty rceivers?????

Which receivers and when were they purchased?

One more question, does modifying the case void the warranty? My pro Tx does not fit in my 3pk- it's a little tall.

The receiver that works came with the dsm 3 ch pro for a JR R1 Tx. The really bad receiver is a 3 ch SR3001 which was purchased early in June. The one that works was purchased in mid May. The receiver that gives me a couple of glitches each day was puchased early June. Haven't had time to even try the module that came with the last receiver. The worst receiver has already been sent in for service. Hope that makes sense, can barely decipher it myself
