You guys are completely insane... Evo3 STi is enough quick for 99% of us.

from what i've read about josh cyrul's review on the new orion motor, looks like there might be a serious challenger to the crown there!!
why dont we all just buy both

I think josh would race the motor he gets the best deal from really, and i wouldnt blame him for it. there are a number of motors he could use and get the same results with being a driver of his abilities and the knowledge he has.

I wouldnt mind trying either of the two new motors myself.

has anyone had any problems with the crank in the .12 sti ???

I put 3 gallons on one STI already, no problems at all, it still working strong, really good motor

This crank problem was fixed way before the STI, it was the first batch of evo 111 cranks. This was sorted last year.

Did you replace the rod? And will a VR12 plus would work well with it?

I didn't replace the rod; the VR12 Plus works really good with Sirio Motors.
I haven't try it but I know people who tried and found that the power of this combo is awesome

Is running a Novarossi plug in the STI inadvisable?

On Sirio engines you should use Sirio or OS plugs; Novarossi plugs will fit but they don't seal properly.

Josh told me last weekend, that if your going to use any brand plug, try to stick with it. Most plugs have different tapers which basically means that using different plugs could eventually open up the tap and then you loose the tight fit. Makes sense, and I'm pretty sure most of us don't even realize these nano details that could cost us a race or $ in the long run.

He did also say that if you need to change to a different brand plug, you should replace the head.
