According to the manual, there are CRF Turbo plugs that you can buy for this engine..

jag - Yes, I have been testing at CRF for the past two days. The first day I was really jet lagged so we just broke in one engine and I practiced a bunch just trying to get comfortable with the track and my car. Once my set-up improved, I started working with the gearing and clutch to match the engine for the CRF track. Today, we broke in 2 more engines (these are box stock production engines that Philippe took out of inventory before we went to the track) and did a little more set-up work with the clutch and chassis. We are finished testing for today with a finished car set-up, finished gear ratio and 2-speed setting. The clutch is also very close but we want to test a bit more.

On deck for tommorow is a bit of clutch testing, pipe testing and a few other coming soon options for the engine.

Here is a brief about the engine itself -

Fabrice is amazing and I think everyone will be completely blown away once they see the engine a part and on the track.

Simply put, I had to change my set-up a lot to control this engine. About 1/3 of the way onto the main straight my car would shift gears, spin the tires and I lost control and crashed - 4 TIMES!!!

3 engines, minimum 5 tanks each - All three ran within .05 lap time, no broken plugs, started on first try and run time of over 6:30 each time the engine has been leaned down to racing speed with a head temp right around or just below 200 F.....

If I was not here driving it and testing... I may not believe it myself but it is truely impressive....

Wow, that sounds too good. Are you saying there is a huge power surge around 1/3 throttle? What percentage nitro were you guys running?

With motors being able to run for 6:30, they will eventually probably make a ruling change that you have to pit within 1 lap of every 5 minute mark in the mains. That is pretty impressive stuff though.

What? Why would they do that? Anyone can make their engine run 6 minutes by putting a restrictor in it, it just won't be as fast. You can't punish someone for making over 5 min of runtime if there's nothing illegal about it.

They will eventually see it as an unfair advantage and put some kind of restriction on it. Laugh at yourselves when it happens.

Too bad, so sad. That's like saying you have to turn your thottle down if you produce more horsepower than the other engines... Anyway.. enough on this.

Mathematically, there is an advantage during longer mains, but longer run times won't necessarily win a race. Setup, engine tuning and driving still play a major factor. I would say that it's not a clear advantage, but certainly one to be considered.

The proving grounds for the WASP REV will be the nats, when hopefully the Ninja T01 (.12) will make their debut as well (mike jones - PM??). Which one will come out ahead? How much will longer run times factor into the results. We'll have to wait and see.

If there is enough protest, the only thing I can see happening, is that the WASP REV won't be approved for use. That's about the only thing that makes sense. Carb restrictors, smaller tanks or penalty pit stops don't make sense. I hope it doesn't come to that and I believe that it's very unlikely.

I cant understand HOW they would make it illegal for using too little fuel, if the tank is 75cc and the engine is legal in dimensions it should be no problem..
Just lean the engines and you can get 10 minutes runtime

Default Make motor ILLEGAL???

Guys, this is the beginning of ground breaking technology. More testing and lots of racing to do, but this is huge for 1/10 scale racing! If the motor is 3 port and meets all .12 motor specs, they can't make it illegal!! They could change their rules to make it illegal, but why?? Someone has sat down and re-engineered the .12 motor, plain and simple!! All other manufacturers will have to step up their games if the want to compete!!!

I want a .21!!!
