I doubt there are any performance differences that render the previous NB4 obsolete.
As far as I can tell from the press release; it only improves on some peripheral features - battery life, display visibility, etc... Full specs are forthcoming....

Looks like USB-C...thank you! I wonder now how long before a revised Pro edition?

For this (supposed) Noble NB4+, the RedRC article states (claims?) the NB4+ has "a new brighter LCD screen and a more race inspired steering wheel as well as a higher capacity battery". The only of these three that is obvious is the steering wheel, which I don't really see an a true 'upgrade'. While it is possible the screen is brighter, the photo gives no indication of such. and, as for the battery, the bottom is the exact same 4300mAh lithium polymer battery. Now, it is possible that the 2600mAh 18650 battery has been replaced with a higher capacity 18650, but I don't see how this would be an 'upgrade', as the higher-capacity 18650s also have higher resistance.

Honestly, the current wheel is more than "good enough"...although, I have replaced the foam with silicone. If the screen is brighter, this could be good...but, it also depends on whether, or not, it gets "washed out" when outside. Just because a screen is brighter doesn't eliminate the possibility that sunlight can still "wash it out", at least to a certain degree. As for the battery, again, the base is the same capacity...although, as noted by RCHeliGuy101, it does appear as if they might have changed the charging port to USB-C. As for the internal battery, if the 18650 is of a higher capacity, as others are already aware, changing the one inside the current NB4 isn't all that difficult. WTF RC even did a video, showing exactly how to do it - Flysky NB4 internal battery swap guide. The only difference (in regards to the 18650) is that, in the NB4+, it appears that Flysky might have made it easier for owners to replace they cell, without having to deal with soldering. For those already owning the current NB4, I don't see the NB4+ as a reason to 'upgrade'. The same holds true for anyone having recently ordered, but still waiting for, an NB4. However, for those who are looking to purchase an NB4, and who don't want (or can't afford) to pay the higher price of the Noble Pro, it might be a good/smart idea to wait until Flysky officially announces, and releases the specs for, the NB4+.

I was looking at the manual for it yesterday on Github. I didn't get too far to see what the difference was then.

True...and it's always good to see what bugs might be in a new release as well. I'm usually the guinea pig for new stuff. lol

I do not see why this is wanted, it is just a different connector and no high speed charging protocol. As if micro USB is difficult to use....

Not a single device I own still uses micro USB. I doubt I even have any cables left. However I do have a ton of USB C cables. Way more convenient.

Now, I wouldn't upgrade from a NB4 to a plus just for that. It is however enough reason for me to wait for the new version.

So basically all your RC equipment is also charged with USB-C? I bet you have different cables for them. Is a 1 dollar micro USB cable too much to ask?

I'm certain, is not about "easier/harder to use"...it's about "universal connection". These days, almost all devices are using USB-C. Heck, even Apple is (finally) giving up on the Lightening Port...moving forward, all iPhones & iPads will have USB-C ports. Makes charging Anthony/everything 'easier' when they're all using the same cable. If that, you'd have to agree.

Would you, SERIOUSLY, trust a $1 USB cable (of any type)? Personally, I done know anyone who would. Again, the whole point is "universal connection". With the exception of one older wireless mouse, NONE of my devices use micro USB, or mini USB - everything, from my phone & tablets, to my laptop & headset charging case, user USB-C. Even the NiMH & LiPo chargers I use for my 1:28/Mini-Z cars use USB-C for AC power. With the exception of the Noble NB4 base being charged via micro USB, my other radios having charging ports all have USB-C. Even my pit lamps are powered via USB-C. Are you finally starting to understand?

USB-C is just a significantly more durable connector. I could care less about the lack of higher voltages or higher transfer speeds. The connector is just objectively better.

Micro-USB is extremely flimsy, and prone to breakage. I have done all i can to eradicate it from all of my devices.

That is how you handle it. Handle with care and you do a long time with any product. But the old 5.5mm round DC plug we all had in the past is more rock solid than USB-C

USB-C also makes a bit of business sense. Since All new smartphones, tablets, cameras and other electronic gadgets marketed in the EU will have to come with a USB-C charging port by fall 2024.
The change for the NB4 is likely dictated by the majority of the market moving in this direction anyways, since most spare parts and OEM inventory will be adjusted to keep and use this platform.

Can anyone explain what the Throttle Neutral Dead Zone does? I am having a problem with a 2wd car breaking loose at every corner (running same tires as everyone else). I noticed from the factory update (most current) that the dead zone was set to 10. Is this allowing me to pull the throttle further back before it's activated (kind of like a neutral drop in a stick shift, for the older guys)? My Hobbywing ESC has a neutral range of 6% so am I adding another 10% to that. I have seen a few pro setups and they have the Dead Zone set to 0.

Thanks
