Now that I'm back home, I plan to get some more runs in before month end. I've already improved by "Box Stock" time by over 6 seconds to 6:06.940, and I'm going to do my best to break the 6 min mark. Also have a lot of improvement to make in "Stock" class by Monday.

Procedural question, when I beat my previous times, should I edit my earlier post and replace the older times with the newer ones, or should I just make a new post? Not sure what was ultimately decided but I don't want to make Jim's tallying any more difficult.

Cheers!

I have just been adding on to the original post I did and not adding another post to add more pages to the thread.

Good to have you back Traveler.

I think I am done for September and then super busy with work until the 16th of Oct. but I should be able to get some running in after that.

I am right there with you on my stock time. I may have to rethink what wheelbase I use if I want to remain competitive in the Stock Class but I will try hard to get my 90mm car up to speed as it is just so fun to drive. Nice going Scionara.

As for the posting of times if we could stick to the format I am using it would be most appreciated. Adding your fastest time to the top makes it very easy to find your current fast time and for the race/car info I just copy and past from the previous post. Since the information is mostly the same it only takes second to update the info and it keeps everything clean, concise, and uniform. It is not much of an issues with this number of participants but if we do gain traction and start getting more players it will become a mess if we are all not using the same format. Back when I was flying virtual soaring tasks your time would not be accepted if it was not in the stated format, I don't think we need to be that draconian currently but I would not mind if everyone did keep it uniform.

I am also going to ask that all times are but in total seconds and not minutes and seconds.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Jim

Best I could do today in box stock was a 360.1. Need a really clean run to beat Jim's 355.1, but haven't given up yet!

My Box Stock run was super clean, I always seem to have a bunch of slow laps around lap 40 so I tried to beat that time a good dozen times....I came really close but did not beat it.

Cheers,
Jim

I'll bet it was super clean! I just broke 6 minutes, but only a 359.9. That 355.1 of yours might take the prize this month, but I'm going to keep trying...

What software are you using? I have a robotronics lapcounter and I am using the software that came with it. I can't or dont know how to set it up for a lap number or to read in seconds. Any help would be helpful.

to co cert to seconds u need to do the math physically. Most non apple lap counters still use standard minutes and seconds. The appl 1 only has seconds.

So 355 equals 5:55

So I got the 355 I was looking for in "Box Stock", but on the last lap I put it in the wall and got a 5.525 lap, and a total of 355.7, so Jim's 355.1 still stands but I'm not done trying...

So close....I have a feeling I am going down.

I am am excited to turn some laps in the second half of October. I finished up a McLaren F1 LM (Short tail) for my Box Stock car. The body is tiny and light.

Cheers,
Jim

You're still in the lead in "Box Stock", and not for a lack of trying, but have not been able to beat my 355.7 or your 355.1. I put my F-430GT car down for the first time on this layout, and without making any changes, ran a 356.4 on my first attempt and then a 343.9 on my second attempt, including a missed lap! I think if I can get it cleaned and relubed before midnight, I might be able to get a better time in "Stock". Stay tuned!
