in all the years I have done rc racing I can count how many times I have ran a track layout ccw.
Auto x and this scale have almost althing in common because vantage points are different. I can understand flow is different but when u cant get it and ur smacking boards hard to the point a body can break or something else is not fun. That's why I will be sitting out this month.

I see your point about breaking stuff I hate it. Also see his point about it not being about flow, but slight differences. Breaking points, turn in, and pick up points are different. I always start slow to get the feel of a track going ccw, but eventually you will pick up the nuances of that direction. The same as cw, I can't just jump on a cw track and go balls out. I can, but something is going to break. Still it's your choice. I am not a gamer anymore gave the xboxes and ps to my son's, even though I will go back every now and then and race my old nascar game.

ccw is the only direction I cant go balls out first time out. Especially if there is nobody running on the track to see the braking point and lines other drivers are doing. But cw I can go ham and not get jitters cause it's the way I've always raced. As far as games go I've always been competitive in nrs fighting games like tekken and mortal kombat. It's more skill than just button mashing on a controller

Set up my rcp track in the same configuration to see what my lap times would be. I know it doesn't equate to the mini96 track as it being about 11/2 the length and width, but just wondering what I could do.
EMU, Traveler2, LJH and 1 others like this.

Bad news! Last night while running some laps, I felt/heard a snap and then some components falling and clanking around in my EX-10 Eurus radio. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the trigger had no resistance, it just swung freely, and when I opened up the radio, I saw that the small plastic pin that the arm that puts tension on the trigger had broken off! Ugh! Hope KO Propo has a replacement part in stock!

there isnt a way to macgyver it. Make a new pin where the old 1 was. Melt a while and place a pin in it or a screw

I’m sure there is, but I’m no MacGyver! I’d love to have a stainless steal bolt turned down to the right diameter of the pin that broke off, with threads at the bottom to bolt through the plastic plate that the pin was part of, but I don’t know any machinists. Contacted KO for help.

Oh Drat....
Looks like a pretty easy fix though......I would go with some music wire roughly the same size of the pin, rill through where the pin was and epoxy it in place. To keep the pin captive a little thread wound around the pin and some CA should do the trick.

If you are not up to the repair yourself it does look like that piece if replaceable if need be.

Hope you get it up and running quickly.

Cheers,
Jim

Waiting to hear back from KO Propo. Would rather have a metal pin for the arm to pivot on, but don't have the confidence/skill to try a fix. Given the amount of pressure on the trigger and the quick back and forth action it experiences, I'm surprised this plastic pin didn't snap a long time ago! If KO sends me a new plastic plate with pin attached, but may try to repair this one with a metal pin.
