I would check the bearings in the diff case, I had a bad one and it felt like a ton of drag brake on the car

make sure your steering link from servo horn is not rubbing against the post on the top plate

Doesn't the other carpet-4wds have gear diff(eb410 for example)?
Question was literally asked and answered a few posts above yours.

Hopefully these will last longer than the MIP dogbones in my 13.5 car

Yes they're great for 4wd buggy. They do have glitch/brown out issues with some.radios. I think spektrum, not sure but anyway you might need a glitch buster

Doesn't seem to be an issue with the latest Spektrums anymore.

Running a 60A HW Justock with 9.5t motor and only 2A BEC and 1258TG, no problems with my low-end Spektrum DX5C and SR415 receiver.

Only issue I've had with the more inexpensive Savox servos was when I mounted the transponder on top of it. If the servo was moving when I crossed the loop, the signal strength for the transponder registered much lower on the computer and I ended up missing a few laps. Moved the transponder to the chassis and haven't had any issues since.

Given all of the little issues I've heard of with the Savox stuff, I can't understand how they got to be so popular.

I've been running the same Futaba servos for a decade and I'll probably leave them to someone in my will.

Okay so I pulled it a part and found possible water inside front bearings but didn't see anything obvious damaged or defective. I replaced diff fluid and bearings and made sure diff was shimmed properly. does seem to roll better but if I go in a tight circle (which could be normal???) as soon as let off the gas it stop like brakes are on but rolls okay forward now. is that normal? is that the nature of 4wd's thanks

Slowing more while turning tight is normal, but something is off if you're experiencing drivetrain bind at full steering lock. Check to see that your dog bones aren't coming in contact with any other parts when you steer. If they touch anything, you caster blocks and spindles might be assembled incorrectly (mixed left and right parts?).
