Default EBIS - Easy Break In Sysrem

In this method of break in you will put the engine in an oil bath, heat it up and turn it over with an electrical motor. A fellow racer bought one of this systems and think it is a good system. He said that this is the way that they break in engines at the factory.
Should be nice if you can give some inputs on this topic in details because I'm torn between this and a normal break in.

IMHO, Normal break in, nice and easy creeping up to a race tune is the best. Takes about 3/4 of a gallon, some time and restraint but you will be rewarded with an engine that lasts and keeps running and running. Don't forget to pre-heat! I typically get a good 6 gallons of racing before needing a light pinch. And I run my engines hard, my low profile headed Nova's are running about 280 when temped, nice trail of smoke and crisp bottom. My Fusion X5R regular head runs 250 to 260 with same characteristics. Byrons 30%

Houston, in truggy, I am currently running an Elite 8 engine, 8mm insert, 9853/41001 exhaust. I'm thinking about going to a 41021 header. How do these three exhaust combos compare (bot, mid, top, mileage, tunability, drive characteristic) on the elite 8:

9853/41001
9853/41021
2096/41021

Thanks.

first tell me why you think you need to switch the header out ?

are you trying to smooth out the low end?

2096 41021 is great in buggy but will not be great power in truggy

Actually, I bought the 2096 in case I needed to run this engine in buggy. The low end currently is a bit punchy and requires a lot of throttle control. I guess I was looking for maybe smoothing out the bottom a little and getting some resolution in the throttle on the bottom. I also wanted to make sure I'm maxing out the top. I can do 8 min pits with no problem. On the top needle, I prob have only a quarter turn between being rich and being lean. It can be a little difficult to find the sweet spot.

2096 is my go to pipe in buggy .... you are absolutely correct !! it can be difficult to find "the sweet spot" with the 2096 pipe ... ive leaned on an engine 9hrs after i had a decent race tune .... lol ... found the "too far point"
