The Jconcepts "DIRT" steering wheel foam is sweet. Gotta say, for $6 for two of them - these things are sweet. a little more cush that the stock hard foam and the grey looks good on the DX4r Pro... which is a awesome radio - Even if it doesn't have wiFi or Apps.

looks like it, yup. The real question is wether or not it is going to be replaced by another 4 channel remote, or wether they will keep their lineup, and go straight from the DX4S to the DX6R, though i doubt it, since $499 is a big jump from $179.
Something new is probably in the works.

My DX3 finally broke after 6yrs of use, the scoll roller broke while trying to select models.
I'm looking at getting the DX4s or 4r and was wondering if it will work with my other receivers. I just bought (2) SR310 receivers back in September and I'm finding mixed information about it being backwards compatible. I've read a few places that say yes it will work and then a few places that say, no it will not work and would have to buy all new receivers....
Any info or input would be greatly appreciated. I have a big race coming up in 2wks and need something soon.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced any issue on the latest firmware update?
Me and my buddy both have the dx4r and both just did updates a few weeks ago and now we both have the exact same issue.
Turn it on and it starts up but fails to connect to the reciever.
Throttle and steering say +110 on both under the main screen(you pull throttle or steer and it doesn't change). We have to turn them on and off again and eventually they connect.
He was at a different race this past weekend and still had the problem and i have had it to happen fiddling with it at home so it wasnt a local issue at the track.
Any suggestions?

Having a binding issue with my DX4R. Trying to bind a DSM2 SR3520 at 5.5ms frame rate. Every time I bind the receiver it defaults back to 16.5ms frame rate. What am I doing wrong? I have no issue binding the included SR2000 at 5.5ms.

I dont think the Sr3520 can handle a 5.5ms frame rate. I believe the DSM2 receivers can only operate at the 16.5ms rate, which is why your radio is automatically defaulting back to that when you bind.

DSM2 receivers (SR3100 and SR3520) can handle 5.5ms. Original Spektrum DSM cannot. Here is the manual for the SR3520 where it specifically mentions 5.5ms frame rate: https://www.spektrumrc.com/ProdInfo/...Manual_ENG.pdf
"Note: If using a DX3R and 5.5ms frame rate is selected, only two channels (steering and
throttle) are operational."

Just for you I pulled out my B6 and bound a sr3520 to test. Selected 5.5ms frame rate, Bound the Rx without a servo plugged in. No issues.
Bound again with a Spektrum 6040 servo plugged into the Rx, again no issues. Radio holds the 5.5ms frame rate on DMS2.
Bound back to my SR2000 Rx, screen switched to DSRM and 5.5ms frame rate.
Long story short, make sure you select the frame rate before binding.
Hope that helps...?
