i started off with dx3s (1yr) then dx3r (3yrs) now ko eurus
The trigger has an adjustable spring tension and an adjustable brake for different sized fingers. The trigger also go extended from what you see in the photos to enhance the feel even more.

The drop down did get some adjustments for clearance but its in a great position for how most people drive nowadays.

What I want to know is, does it still feel like a miniature kids toy radio in your hand like all the other Spektrum radios.
The radio is very solid with no plasticky feel at all. It is a great unit.

I have never felt the Spektrums felt like toys. I always thought the Futabas, Airtronics, and some others felt heavy and clunky. I don't like trying to hold a brick while I drive. I prefer a light weight radio.

Does the DMSR use frequency hopping pairing or original scan thru spread spectrum. Some other radios have had difficulty with their SS systems when FH systems have been near.

It is my understanding that it is an FH based system.

Exactly why I will be getting this radio, my M11X feels like holding a 10 pound weight while driving.

I love my DX4S, no need to upgrade. Also my DX4S feels great in the hand and I imagine it has the same build quality as this radio.

I have to admit, I have a DX3R and I liked the radio...but have the DX4R Pro now and love this radio.

With the spring tension adjusters on both the steering and throttle and the updated trigger and DSMR protocol...it is a fantastic radio and worth the time to set it up for sure.

People have felt the radio all over the place and been like, wow, this thing feels great!

Ryan, aka hacker07, can you confirm that the scroll wheel button has been improved over the original 3R?

I'm in the market for a new radio and it's between this and a 4pks-r. I've seen, and have had, too many issues with the scroll button. If you can't confirm an updated button (not the wheel itself) I'm going to have to go the Futaba route.

had to choose from the ko propo ex-1 or the dx4r pro, after using both brands i went with the ko, more solid and a better feel. i assume the dx4r pro would be simular to the dx3r pro

feels to plastic to me also.

i used a dx3s for a year and was a gem to use

No since they are DSMR.

Yes, the radio is backwards compatible with DSM and DSM2.

The radios scroll wheel has been improved for both the DX4S and DX4R Pro.

These are different radios and the new radio has a much better feel to it and a lot of updates to it.

Sorry but no. The 2000 rec is a DSMR and the older radios are either DSM or DSM2.
