I'm sorry, I thought I was in the EB48.3 thread
. For the .2 suspension I would start with this setup but go lower in the diffs, try 7-7-5 or 5-5-5.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this thread... I just bought a eb48.2 yesterday used from a member here. This is my first buggy so I'm sure I will ask a lot of questions, some of which will surely be dumb questions. The first thing i was wondering was... The chasis on the buggy I bought was a little worn. I won't know how much til I actually get it. But just looking around last night and I saw one with a bce chasis. Are those made anymore? The post was from a year or so ago and I know with some parts they are made in small runs and then never show up again so i figured you guys would know best.
Ok thanks guys. Would you recommend that aftermarket chasis or stick with the tekno chasis? They about the same price and both are 7075 anodized alum. So wonder if there is really any benefit to aftermarket.

I've hear of people dropping the weight in the rear diff, what does that change do? Right now I'm at 7-10-5. (Went up to 10 in center to reduce ballooning front tires so bad, otherwise stock diff weights) What would a change to say 7-10-3 give me? Or 5-10-5, 5-10-3? 5-7-3? Just looking to try something different for racing on Saturday, but I want to know what the different changes would do on diff weights.
The change to 10 in the center did reduce the ballooning, which I liked.

Thicker diff fluid seems to make my car rotate more in faster on power corners . It "frees" up the rear end when the grip is high.
Small tight technical track with less than a lot of grip I go thinner .
larger track with higher average speeds , and more grip I go thicker. Never more than 5k for me , and sometimes as low as grease if it horrible .

The added interest in the M2C chassis is the replaceable stainless steel inserts, and extends the life of the chassis, without adding a skid plate that may effect the handling of the car by lowering the lowest point. Also, M2C has a battery mod chassis designed for the sct that moves the battery tray back 10mm.
Ezlight.... Thank you for the detailed response. The replaceable sst inserts deff seems like a good idea, so it seems that there is some added value in going with that chasis. Seems like there was some actual thought that went into the mfg and wasn't just a copy of the entire tekno chasis. This is the exact explanation I was looking for so I could make an informed decision if I did indeed need to replace it. So, thanks...

Question on the split center diff:
On Tekno's website I see you need TKR5262 ($9.99) and TKR5260 ($44.99) totaling $54.98
They also have a complete set TKR5261 ($79.99)
Is there a difference other than price?

Im assuming you mean TKR5263, not 62. The TKR5263 parts are made out of plastic, while the TKR5262 parts are made out of CNC'ed aluminum ($47.99). TKR5261 is the combination of TKR5262 and TKR5260 for a lower price.
