Hi guys. I would like to intriduce newest development we came up. It is new redesigned p/s set with sleeve made out of bi-metall.
I tryed to make the best pic with my camera, but not sure if it can be clearly seen. We are going to start intencive testing in next couple of days ( if no rain).
If anybody can help me to put it as pic on forum, not as attachment, I will realy apreciate it.
Any coments or questions are very welcome.
Edward

which two metals/alloys are you using? and which one goes to top half?. very interesting to know how well the junction will hold under normal / extreme operation conditions (vibration and heat).

Very interesting Ed, so what r we looking 4 in performance wise with this bi metal sleeve and the new crank as well ? Yours original BRB set was placed into Mark engine and i was getting similar lap time with 16 % and 25 % nitro. Hence with the latest crank and sleeve...where would the engine benefit from ?
P.s any more news or test results with crank or sleeve....email me as racing is soon around the corner !!!

We are using some of the Brass and BRB alloys and top part is BRB. We are using state of the art welding technology to put these two parts together. Our testing will show if it is durable or not. It has been run already on testing stand, now is time for track.

As you know our engines are chain of interuptions ( friction, flow restriction etc). By using bi-metall construction we are achiving better friction coeficient on top and bottom part of sleeve ( temperature on top and bottom are different and required different expention rate). Till now we were sacrifising some of the benefts because it wqasn't possible to make sleeve out of 2 different alloys and hopefully now this will be solved.

Thanks to Edward for all of his help and the great engine at the Winternats. I ran a Rex RER12S3 with the BRB p/s set and it was flyin'!!! My fastest laps of the week were close to .5sec off the fastest so the engine was moving. I just hope next time I'll be able to put them into an entire 5min. run!
