Thanks for the reply Ed. Without disclosing the material, why and how would having different material for the button head be beneficial?

We found this material is adding couple of RPMs and it is much stronger.

Dieter,

what is the numbers like for 15 large block engines in Mainland Europe. From what I hear 235mm is going to be finished in the UK within the next couple of years.

I agree. We had the same in the UK. Around 30 - 40 at championships level. I also think 235mm is a better class. 200mm is just too small and awkward to work on.

What I find ironic is that the company who was at the head of starting the latest breed of racing 200mm (which was supposed to make racing cheaper ) are now slashing all their prices so they can sell more products and remain in business.

Why couldnt all the manufacturers have just done this 10yrs ago with 1:8th and 235mm and kept the 2 decent classes???? instead of starting a new class which to be honest costs as much if not more than 235mm to run and has cars that handle like S*** in comparison.

Hey Dieter. Glad to hear that your set is working good-it has been for while.
I don't make .15 sets because there is not too many people is interesting in it. I can make it, but cost will be over the roof due the small quantity and developing cost will go on small ammount of sets. Sorry fot it, but if market will not pick up we are not going to make it. If someone wants make custom, yes I can do that, but there will be min quantity to order.

Dieter,

If you can email me at [email protected] with a list of how many you think you could sell etc we will look into it.

We would need at least 15 sets to make it even worthwhile.

Oh the BRB set is in a JP FX black crank case with ceramic bearings and a JPFX TO5 hardened black crank.

The head is a TOP TSR black head (I like black!!)

I shimmed the head to 0.4mm and am using a C6TGC plug with 16% tornado.

Sound good?

All sounds good bar one thing. Get rid of that rubbish your running it on and get some Runner Time . Engine will thank you for it and will run a lot cooler. Should be able to get 8mins at 240deg with 0.4mm shims and 16% runner time.
