Not impressed.
Send an e-mail to Eric at CRP. Quality defects can happen at anytime on mass produced items. They're top-notch about taking care of customers, so it shouldn't be a problem at all to get you squared away.

I've been using them since the original release, and know first hand all the benefits you'll see. Your engine will thank you. Welcome to the group that has the most important piece of nitro support equipment.

+1 to that Matt.

Plus the Competition Heat is the original, and the best.
Lot's of knock off's out there, but they don't compare too well in quality to the Comp Heat model.
Then you have the added bonus of Eric's great customer support .

Billy Betteker,

The confusion came about after we emailed you on 8/23 to let you know your order would ship the following week, we then received notice from paypal that you wanted a refund, which is fine, I understand you wanted them asap. We responded to paypal that you should get your funds back because of the delay. I then received a pretty explicit email from you on 8/28 so we went ahead and shipped you a set of pistons on 8/29. You received a personal email from me last Friday morning (8/29) as well as Priority shipping confirmation. Your pistons should arrive today. FYI, we did not begin shipping orders until 8/28.

To all our customers, CRP Inc. has moved from our Nashville, TN. location to the Charlotte, NC area.

We are gearing up for the 2015 racing season here at CRP. If you would like to become a part of Team CRP next year please shoot me your resume ([email protected]). This will include all CSI Shock products and Comp Heat products.

We will have different levels of sponsorship available, from Rookie to Pro level racers. Team drivers will be determined and notified in December, just in time to kick off the 2015 Racing season.

Does any one have idea how many amps the 12v engine heater generates using a 3s battery?

I seem to be able to power it for about 45'ish minutes on a 5.8A 3S lipo before the low batt alarm goes off.

However when the voltage is slightly higher, ie battery is full, it is very quick to heat up. Then when the battery is half down, it takes slightly longer to heat up.

fully charged 3s battery 12.6v. heater 50w.
Watts divided by Volts = Amps
50/12.6 = 3.96amps.
although the voltage will drop off and the current will go up.

Nope. The heater is a lineair device so when the voltage get lower the current will also go lower.
