although the voltage will drop off and the current will go up.
If you have a 12 volt heater a 12 volt 5 Ah (60 watt) power supply ain't enough.

Default Glue used for element

Does anyone know what type of glue/adhesive that Comp Heat uses or can be used for sticking the heating element to the fabric cover?

I thought the element had burned out and was removing it before ordering a new one, but discovered one of the wires broke right where it enters the heating element. A bit of careful soldering fixed it, but not sure how to get it to stick again in the cover.

Any help is much appreciated.

Any high temp adhesive will work. 3M makes a good one.

Is there a replacement sock for these? I have the competition d/c but I bought a off brand a/c and it cooked the sock to nothing. Hate to have to buy a whole new one but if I have to I guess it could be worse.

I'm wanting to put a 3S battery in my starter box to run my Competition Heat in addition to the primary battery What 3S battery are people using? How many mAh should I be looking for?

I've 4000 mAh and it does its job ok. If I should buy a new battery I would go for 5000 or more.
Normally I use an old power supply from a PC. You'll need 12DC (12,6 volt MAX!) and at least 10 Ah in a power supply.

This place is really quiet but I might as well voice my opinion .I purchased a competition heat for use in racing and to ease engine break in. For the first month I had it I loved it, it was the best thing since sliced bread. I always was careful of the wire coming off the heating mat because the mfg says be careful so I was. I never pulled on the wires and I always stored it in the box. Not really sure what happened.I tried contactingt he manufacture through email with no luck so now I have a heater that serves no purpose since it is not working. Any ideas how to contact the manufacturer

Yep a competition heat official brand. I have emailed a few times and no luck then tried calling the number on the sight and it just kept ringing. I've heard he answers quickly but I'm yet to hear from him.

Can anyone in Australia recommend a transformer to use with the 120v AC version?

Also can anyone confirm how many watts it requires or how many amps it draws?

It's the deuce 2.

There is a 50 watt transformer at the local hobby shop I'm just not sure if that's enough..

Thanks!
