Part of the issue is the fact that I'm getting used to he power but even once I got comfortable, it handled like $hit. The rear end is very loose especially when exiting corners. It's very hard not to spin out. I am running 0 anti squat, moved the rear hubs all the way forward and I moved the rear camber link to the 3rd outermost hole on the hub. The track is med-high bite but can get dusty at times. I'm running the correct tires as well as a full size batt pack.
Why did you drastically change your setup? Most of the guys on here are running similar setups for stock and mod. Maybe a slight roll center change and a little more weight in mod. If you car worked good in 17.5, it should have been close in mod. Chances are you need a lighter trigger finger.

Interesting..... I think they have something else up their sleeve as well...... Tower Hobbies has lowered their 4.2 price and the 4.2 is in the closeout section on the Associated web site. Usually you can't buy the 4.2 direct from AE but you can now in the closeout section

Hmmm, you think they are secretly making a new car and trying to unload the c4.2 and b4.2?

I think the C4.2 is going to be their mid motor car, and maybe they have something in the works for a rear motor car. Or maybe the new dual use kit is going to be all they offer.

I only made those changes after I was really struggling with the original setup. I said it worked ok for my 17.5 but then again, I only ran a couple packs through this new buggy. Before that I was running the 4.1 wc. I know my trigger finger is a part of the problem but my friend who just won the roar regional champs drove my buggy and thought it was loose as well.

Why would a large company like AE choose to distribute a new conversion for their kit if the end game is to replace it with something completely different shortly after?

Doesn't make much business sense, and it would not bode well with their customer base. Just sayin'

What speedo do you use? Try turning the punch down.

I agree, but why is the 4.2 in the closeout section on the AE site, available to the buyer? They have not sold this car direct to the public in the past and when they do sell direct it means the car has a replacement or discontinued. Maybe the dual kit is going to be all they offer, which would still be right in line for price point with tlr, and still much cheaper than kyosho.

Tried that. It slightly masked the problem but didn't solve it and made clearing some of the jumps difficult.

1 going to a longer rear camber link is giving you less traction two why the hell do you need a 7.5 in your buggy 10.5 at the most at thats retarded speed three your spinning out because you have too much power turn it down!!!!!!! why did you go from 17.5 to 7.5?

Personally I would use Ti or the stock black steel.
What if I use the stainless on everything but on the shock and suspension use titanium

If there is a new car, I'm surprised a pic hasn't leaked if it is this close to its release assuming this is the reason the b4.2 is in the close out section on the ae site.
