Team Associated B4.2 Thread
Someone please HELP!!! I'm in desperate need of some more setup help. My buggy seemed to be working pretty well but I now switched from a 17.5 to a 7.5 motor. The car is not handling well and I was pretty frustrated today trying to drive/tune it. Part of the issue is the fact that I'm getting used to he power but even once I got comfortable, it handled like $hit. The rear end is very loose especially when exiting corners. It's very hard not to spin out. I am running 0 anti squat, moved the rear hubs all the way forward and I moved the rear camber link to the 3rd outermost hole on the hub. The track is med-high bite but can get dusty at times. I'm running the correct tires as well as a full size batt pack.

Why did you drastically change your setup? Most of the guys on here are running similar setups for stock and mod. Maybe a slight roll center change and a little more weight in mod. If you car worked good in 17.5, it should have been close in mod. Chances are you need a lighter trigger finger.
Doesn't make much business sense, and it would not bode well with their customer base. Just sayin'
I only made those changes after I was really struggling with the original setup. I said it worked ok for my 17.5 but then again, I only ran a couple packs through this new buggy. Before that I was running the 4.1 wc. I know my trigger finger is a part of the problem but my friend who just won the roar regional champs drove my buggy and thought it was loose as well.
I agree, but why is the 4.2 in the closeout section on the AE site, available to the buyer? They have not sold this car direct to the public in the past and when they do sell direct it means the car has a replacement or discontinued. Maybe the dual kit is going to be all they offer, which would still be right in line for price point with tlr, and still much cheaper than kyosho.
1 going to a longer rear camber link is giving you less traction two why the hell do you need a 7.5 in your buggy 10.5 at the most at thats retarded speed three your spinning out because you have too much power turn it down!!!!!!! why did you go from 17.5 to 7.5?

Unless you also like the way it bends don't use it in any of the shock mounting positions. I had made this mistake with a XXX-SCT and when I got my latest B4.2 the previous owner had put a SS kit on it and getting those (bent) screws out was a real pain. Personally I would use Ti or the stock black steel.
