I have been using the Yokomo ball cups for a while now and they are great.
Plus they have a hole in the top for access to the ball. No more popping ball cups off and making them weaker..

They work perfect on both.

I can feel no difference between the ones on my associated turnbuckles and balls, and my Yokomo turnbuckles and balls.

Picked up the chassis stiffener at Top Gear in Portland on Thursday -- I think they sold 4 right away and it was a quiet practice night w/ 8 drivers there.

Just put it on the car. With hardware it adds ~ 34 grams of weight -- so I took out 12 grams I had in the rear chassis triangles to somewhat compensate. The fit is flawless -- seems like the stiffness will come from the tight fit, not the hardware. I drilled through the chassis and the screws are pretty much flush but you will want to run a chassis protector (I do anyways -- I use scrap 'clear bra' vinyl -- tough and cheap).

One of our local hot shoes tried it out between A1 and A2 -- the only change he made to the car and he dropped .5 seconds on his lap times consistently. Says it takes the hook out of the car on high bite surfaces, which Top Gear is aspiring to be on a consistent basis. I'm looking forward to see what it does.

Now, as to the never ending debate/discussion on ball cups ... Jconcepts are working fine between my B4.2 and B44.2 and my 8 year olds always in danger B4.2.

so are the tc6 turnbuckle eyelet set direct fit?

They will fit but in my opinion they wont work very well in an off road environment. They aren't very long...they are made for a turnbuckle that is about 1 3/8" long. There wont be very much thread engagement for the turnbuckle that is 2" long and has to span 2 1/2".

For crying out loud, THEY'RE BALLCUPS people.

The stock ones work fine, just don't use the ones in the box. Pro-tip: stop whacking stuff and they won't pop off.

So Pete, why all the tears over having to run slicks at your track? A set of tires is a set of tires IMO. They'll eventually end up bald one way or the other.

I ditched the ballcups that came with the kit and used the replacement ones off the hobby shop wall. Have managed to break one front arm and one front shock tower in open practice, but somehow never popped or destroyed a ballcup.
