Is it hard to setup? I don't know much about charging and the manual seems to have all different types of plugs and battery types.

It's not to bad, I called once and got excellent help working through a small problem that I was having. I quick charge all the time now and really don't need to mess with s/u anymore.

Thanks Gregg

Yes the same setup would work as parallel charging is just taking multiple packs and making it into one big pack.

It's cool to charge 4 at once, but the 6 amps is just too slow. I'm in between the PL8 and the Hyperion 720 Duo. I like that the Hyperion can put out 2 x 500 watts. I run 3 classes usually and the ability to charge 2 packs at once is a nice option.

Thanks.
I have a 13.8V/90amp Bulldog power supply but you don't need as much amps. You can get a converted PC power supply for around 45.00 dollars I think from SPC Racing. I think it's 44 amps. Only time you need a 24V power supply with the PL8 is if you need to charge higher cell count packs.

I was charging at 25 amps at the last race I attended and my power supply was only being used at 16/17amps. The chargers have some sort of conversion going on so it doesn't use the full amps you set it at from your power supply.

You won't regret the PL6 and all you have to do is buy the combo with the PC interface and MPA board and you will be all set and can charge up to 6 packs of 2S at once at 6.6amps or 2 packs at once up to 20 amps or 4 packs at 10 amps.

To me the PL6 is very versatile and offers the best price per Watts.

A 4S pack is 47x47 and 2 of the 2S would be 47x50.

Hey Danny,

Looking at the 7.4 5600 saddle packs.. Are the dimension correct? 5.47" long? That does not sound right...
