These CSI Blue V-Ports are very tricky to tune in my opinion, but when you get a setup that works, they work pretty well.
I am using associated oil too. Kyosho lt blue springs in the front and orange in the back. In my opinion..don't use csi bladders or boots on this car. I think they are junk. Had my boots a week and they ripped and the black bladders make the car bounce everywhere. I spoke to csi about it but they just keep telling me to buy more of their products even though they haven't done any testing on the eb48. They can make guesses with their money but not mine.

Read back a couple pages but ill say again. Spoke to Tekno 10 days ago and they said "couple weeks" but they said that the week before as well, having manufacturing issues. So we will be lucky if distributors have them by the end of next week and that's optimistic. Ordered mine a month ago when I was told they are in stock only to find out 2 weeks later HRP actually didn't have any. So hopefully I will have it in 3 weeks, that's my bet.

im on the fence about buying one of these buggies!
I have a fully modded RC8.2e with all the bells and whistles!
just sold my RC8T ce that was an e conversion
gonna go to all TEKNO fleet!
I own the SC truck now and love it!
somebody help!
is it same as sc truck? aluminum hexes, and aluminum center bone and shock pistons and springs is all i would need extra? Oh, i heard also HD front arms
thanks for the help!
in my RC8.2e I have Tekin RX8 and Tekin 1900 motor
surely that would be fine in this buggy!
i pulled my RX8 and Tekin T2000 motor from my truggy for the new Tekno e truggy!
will run both on 4s
thanks!

I have had the SCT410 for a while now and just built my EB48. They are nearly identical except for a few big things I can think off top of my head:

EB48 has:
- Bigger hubs/spindles, outdrives, drive shafts, axles
- Different shock mounts
- Bigger/different arms

You don't need alum hexes, these are different and aluminum anyways. Motor/ESC you have is fine.

Not sure if all the EB48 kits were like mine, but I got some aluminum/CNC parts where my SCT410 had the plastic material (ie: alum hinge pin holders, lightened chassis, some others).

I must have gotten lucky, I ordered a set of these and paid for them and now they have no more in stock. I have been looking here every few days and could not believe my eyes when the site said in stock. I figured I would share the site because of the good price on them, just keep watching for them to arrive.

Curiosity, i am taking it that those pistons work well, what is the selling point, and why aluminum? Curious as if it really is that much better, i can make them so you guys dont have to wait, sweat or pay so much. I have a nice sized shop with a very wide range of capabilities. We do CNC machining and sheetmetal fabrication.

I made the pistons that are in my car and they have been working realy well. I can make the ones in that link but am just curious to what the advantage is with having an oring expand to the shock body wall. It just seems like you would always have a rough time with oil choice. I could be wrong, it just seems to me that the compression and rebound dampening would be extremely different. And possibly even lock up the shocks on bigger jumps when landing. They may work great and i may be way off, just would like some feedback before making them.

Yes o ring does get pushed up against shock body if you look closely at them the outer holes you can see oring. To me its just 1 more thing that could break.. plastic is the way to go. I just got my blue v ports plastic in wow those holes are small.

Yeah, I like delrin pistons myself. I made a set of domed top pistons instead of conical. It gives you an in between feel of flat and conical. I also ported the holes top and bottom to reduce air bubbles. They have been working great. I made them 8 hole X 1.3mm.
