Yeah, looking online I see they seem fairly standard. I ordered Tekin but I will get what I can tomorrow, hopefully, and see how it goes. Might leave it loose and not cable tie it.

I'm a fan of Muchmore Racing and Protek RC sensor wires, more flexible and less prone to failure than any other brands I've tried

I've been looking at some of the tekno guys' setups and noticed a few of them are using kyosho light blue front springs and kyosho orange rears. Considering my track is dry, dusty and rough, it sounds like those springs would be my best option. However, I'm really not a huge fan of goofy colored springs. Id run them if I have to but if there's another option out there or if tekno makes springs similar, can someone please tell me?

The Tekin 2050Kv motor is more like a 2120Kv motor from some of the sites I have read and the calculators used.

The main reason I would use a higher Kv on the EB48 would be to get a different gearing range. Using lower Kv motors, can find yourself using big pinion sizes and spacing the motor more from the centerline. Depending on the kind of gear setup you are using, say the long shank pinions or the clutch bell stuff, you may find yourself limited to a certain sizes.

Also, you may want the aggressiveness of some of the higher Kv motors like that Tekin 2050Kv.

Tekno yellow front and red rear are close in rate to the kyosho springs you listed. Or the rc8.2 springs work also.

Thanks for the wire recommendations guys, I will have spares on hand in the future, but hopefully I won't need them. I won't cable tie it any more.

You can always get some RC Skins shock covers to suit, then nobody knows or sees your spring colour.

great thing though, its so easy to change the diffs in comparison to the nightmare the sc10 4x4 was I had.
I recently switched to 7-4-2 and love it outdoors...tried 7-5-2, 7-4-3 also but the 7-4-2 was the best with ibeams

The rear 2K setting at least when I ran it at the motodome really helped lock in the rear end in comparison to 3K.

I guess as the VTX8 is sensored only, it would come with a cable, as
some motors, like Tekin, can run in both modes and you may not have
one anymore. Never mind, it's just one of those things.

The VTX8 has been good. Used it three times and twice had throttle problems. First time was the battery, no the cable, so I'm getting good at working out what is wrong, ha, ha. I hope there isn't a third time.
Put the VTX8 in my SCT410. Yanked it out. Put it in my EB48, yanked it. Updated firmware. Had throttle problems. Turn off esc, turn it back on. Then it would be OK,...maybe. If not, reset again. YANKED VTX8 AGAIN!! This product is half-baked. The software is not up to snuff. Viper's response was to use a 2 pole motor in the SCT410...not acceptable! When you can buy an esc for $80.00, and it works fine, how come Viper can't get it right?? I have over 22 years in this hobby, and thought we were beyond these silly problems by now. I cannot recommend the VTX8 at this time. Buyer beware!!
