Might have to add weight. Really want to try this on my stock buggy.
+1

I found my the percentage equation I did weighing the gearbox rotating internals
Including out drives and slipper , was a 22.7% reduction in rotating mass.

A hub users would need the exotek hubs. The yaiba are C height and you could possible run them at A or C height, but that many washers makes me cautions or stud breakage.

I think Eli is running the exotek hubs. maybe he can shed some light on what he does to keep them from rubbing and if the hubs alone fix the need for spacing at the bottom.
I don't know how they would fix it; figuring it out would be their job:-). I don't see why they could not move the top of the shock tower forword .060 then add .060 to the arm where the shock mounts. I think this would give you ample clearance yet keep the shock pitch exactly the same. All in my opinion. Again, not my job, I just need to buy it:-). I actually told Jason he should figure out a proper fix (unlike a band aid like adding washers) before Avid does.

I would be fine with that if there really was a new car coming out next year. Do you have reason to believe there will be a new car out? Considering that they just did the upgrade to the worlds car this year I just don't think we will see a new car out that soon. AE does not move that fast. Thoughts?

How does it turn without a cab forward body?
How does it have rear grip without a 7" wing?
How does it jump without big bore shocks?
How can it turn without a alum steering rack?

Default Rear shock location

Why is all the ho-humm about relocating the shocks here or there??? Why not move the location of the inner camber link backward closer to the spur gear? Yes it is close already, but we are talking .060-.100 here. A new U-brace and spur cover would fix this, i dont ever run spurs over an 81 anyway and most guys run stock class which uses typically a 72 or 69. I tried moving the shock tower forward. It didnt work well because for some reason I kept breaking towers, probably from shock angle bindage under a flex condition. Right now I settled on something way different than anybody else here would consider a viable fix, but I do that often(I think outside the box and typically dont run a typical car setup like you guys recomend anyway, lol). I run the outside hole on the u-brace and outer on the "C" tower flipped to the backside of the hub with .060 shims under the ball stud. I use this with great success! My car is dialed for the high grip indoor clay I race on. Camber gain is a little funky running it this way but is compensated by running 1.5 degrees of rear camber. this was the only succesful way I could keep my camber links from rubbing my shock bodies in extreme flex conditions. So.... a new design for the U-brace would make sense(AE or aftermarket), however I am very suprised I have not found this recommended yet
