finally got my 3x1.4 pistons in for racing wednesday, the car was ALOT better on landing, also seemed like i gained alittle jump distance too.
waiting on a pair of green rear springs to come in next week, as it feels like the rear could be alittle softer with these pistons (32.5green/30white) but whites may work fine if i went down to 27.5 as well.
but im thinking green/3x1.4/32.5 front green/3x1.4/30wt might be the ticket because i love the compression/rebound with the 30wt in the rear.

The taper should be down..
While I really really liked the 3x1.4's at one track that is very smooth and high grip.... They were hands down worse in every way at my home track. Way too soft and dumpy at low an high speed. Way less pack of course on landings... Took the car way too long too recover.
I ran them 2 weeks straight tryin all sorts of combinations to get them to work but I had fallen off my usual pace. 3rd week in a row I came out with them fresh orings and ready to test... The car still acted the same(of course)... Went back to my standard 1.7's 35/32.5... Car was instantly better!!! Take-offs/ landings/ very solid in the corners... Gained a solid .5 sec a lap back that I had lost.
Right now my car is absolutely the best in every way I've had a car in many many years!!!
If anyone wants a great setup for a medium grip indoor track that's medium to large size, elevation changes... Let me know

so far I only tried 1.6 and 1.7, both std. my car felt easier to drive with 1.7 but slower. If no one buys my car, I'll order all the tapered pistons and try them.
Speaking of which ....... anyone wanna buy my car :P

hmm, I dont get it , lol. The 1.4x3 should have way more pack the 1.7x2. The 1.7's were ok in the corners, but the chassis slapping was terrible. 1.6 had good pack but were not great in the corners. I really felt like the 1.4x3 very the best of both worlds. Post your entire setup, I am wondering if you did something vastly different with roll centers and camber gain.

If you meant my setup,
I am running
Front
1mm under ballstud
inside / inside camber link
inside / outside for shock
2mm bump steer
37.5 oil
black springs
3 limiters
REAR
Std Ubrace, no washers
1 B camber (std)
inside / inside for shock
wheelbase centered
35 oil
white springs
2 limiters
My 1.6 package is everything the same except 30 wt front 27.5 rr for oil.

Now after my last test of the 3x1.4 vs 1.7 I kept everything else the same... 1.7 were instantly better in every way and it showed on the clock.
Due to the amount of Pm's I got I will post my setup on here.
I am using A hubs, again after back to back testing on this layout, they were a tick faster but also much easier to drive. In my experience the key to A hub vs. C hub debate is this: if your track has elevation changes/ off cambers/ banked turns... The A hubs are most usually better. If your track is flat, C hubs all day!

I'm kidding. I haven't tried the 1.7s yet, but I might give them a go next week. The home track has been really dry lately, and I'm kind of tired of going through a set of tires each night.
