Tekno RC EB48 Thread

Yes, nitro = meh for me too. It has the typical nitro body style, not what I was expecting if Tekno were to do a nitro buggy.
Not sure how secret it's meant to be with a great big Tekno sticker on the side. Could have left it blank, or put another brand on there?

Call me crazy as I really love my Losi mini-8ight. The only Losi i really ever enjoyed. But I would really love to see a 1/14 scale mini EB48. That would be awesome to say the least. Mini 8ights are huge around here and we have around 50 to 60 every weekend here. Very popular model here in MI. It would just be awesome to show up at the track with a EB414!

I like everything about Nitro except for the fumes...they hate me and make me unable to breath very well. I love the whole concept of tuning though, and how efficient to be for fuel/pit strategies and long races.
For Tekno, and all of us, I hope the Nitro does as well as the EB has so they continue to get great return on their R&D investment and can keep doing more of it. I'm definitely most excited by the concept of a Tekno EB410. With the nitro being shown though, I would be surprised to see an EB410 before an 8th scale truggy, unless they're developing multiple cars at once.

I've just broken a rear left arm and cvd at the same time a few days ago (my car is one of the first patch), no major crash etc... Is it probably due to the 1st batch quality issue, should the extra hard rear arms help?

I also have a first batch car. I broke a front a arm (and practically shattered the drive shaft)...but it was completely my fault (20+ feet of drop, lawn dart style to 1 wheel...silly me trying to keep up with Austin and Curtis).
Anyway, I recommend the extra hard arms now anyway. They are not only more durable, but also offer an additional suspension tuning position, which is actually very usable.

That is a JConcepts body on it. It's just something to use for testing like when the EB48 was running a Serpent body at first.

I hope it is nitro not just a different buggy with Tekno stickers. Need to pick up another class and I'm done with 4wd sc. Since almost all big races around here have almost no 4wds plus I'm burnt out running it on all these 8th scale size tracks.

Where did you order the EB48 from? I have been trying to find another one in stock. I have one on back order with Amain but the last I heard they expected it to be mid April.
