OK it's official....I'm gonna go with a Tekin motor..either 2050 or 1900 and the Hobbywing SCT Pro esc.....
Thanks for all the input and testimonials from everyone..........
Are you guys running the aluminum shock caps?.....thats really the only thing I was a little disappointed in on the eb48 kit!

My best driving ever, on bald tires, and on my qualifying batteries (oops!)
packs decided to poop out at the 10 minute mark and left me with a nice little DNF

Kind of a newbie question concerning the carbon fiber towers, I understand all CF should be sanded and then sealed with CA before using. What is the best/easiest way to get the CA on the edges?
I tried this on a front tower for my old 8ight a couple years ago and ended up kind of boogering it up. Thanks

I do drive it a bit like a 2wd, so I am generally using a bunch of throttle control coming out of a corner instead of mashing it for max amp pull, but I have yet to use 6k in the 12 min mains + warmup laps. I think I'm going to be pushing it a bit harder soon though, as it is time to work on getting faster again instead of just consistent, and I'll have a more stable setup on the new car I'm building to allow for that.

Going from memory I use about 400mA per minute. I don't like to use more than 80% of the rated capacity either.
So 13 minutes X .4A x 1.25 (inverse of 80%) = 6500mA.
So 13 minutes X .4A x 1.25 (inverse of 80%) = 6500mA.
I run a 6500 4s from SMC along with an RX8/T8 1900kv on 18t. No current limit, no timing, 50% brake (I think, might be 40?).
