Thank you WC and Sal. I guess I should've said internal shock limiters.

So how many internal shock limiters would be good to start?

Ya got me Barry, lol. I have only used the limiters on the outside. I tend to do very little wrenching and just end up "driving around" the truck. Hasnt always been that way but it is for the time being. Limiters on the outside are easier to put in place and get where you want to be more quickly.

Good luck running if you go tomorrow. Hope you can make a Friday night sometime, Usually have more trucks then.

Fridays are difficult. Limiters inside the shocks can be very helpful. When we get an answer maybe you can try. I get the external limiters but they don't help in the way the internal ones do.

Sundays are a killer for me but I am sure we will end up bumping into one another. I wouldnt mind trying the internals myself. Hell, I have an extra set of shocks to play with so I can do a Back to Back comparison.

The internal limiters control droop travel, I use none at the moment.
The external 8mm limiters are to control bump travel.(bottomed out)
Hope this helps!

I THOUGHT that was the name that got slashed, but wasn't sure. Maybe a courtesy? But prolly not my place to assume. I'll stay tuned (tomorrow).

Someone clarify what to do with these setup instructions:

Limiter: 0, not unscrewed
Rebound: 0, with 8mm up travel limiters

No internal limiters on the shock shaft.
Not unscrewed = shock rod end fully tightened
Zero rebound = when you push the shock all the way in after its built it won't come back out
8mm up travel limiters = 8mm of spacers on the shock shaft on the outside of the shock body

I ran between 2-5mm on mine depending on how much I needed the rear end to stay planted. The front I was either at 0-2mm

Wildjoke. Too bad we missed you today.

And your information is incorrect, Mike used his SC10 4x4 all day.

Just to clarify for pakk and others wondering since this hasn't been talked about for a while...
8mm of up travel limiting including the rubber bumper. If you put 8mm of clips under the bumper you will have very little travel left.

This is not a tuning tool, its so the cva's don't push up into the out drives and make bad things happen.
