Well with the amount of up travel limiters most guys are running, especially indoors,(4-8mm) it's not too far off from just having that longer shock body... I would think those shock would make the truck more plush and stable especially if you were running the exotek chassis or weights?

Front shock bodies are a couple mm too long, but not horrible. Shocks are out of travel with the chassis at about 1/8-1/4 inch off the ground. Think of it as Keeping the outdrives happy...
Still worth a shot, rears are perfect, both have no turnbuckle clearance issues...gotta see what she'll do...stock shocks worked fine, but what if these are better???

For me the 16mm shock mod is just a fun experiment or tuning exercise ...
update
Was testing a black rear Ae 16mm spring with two coils removed tonight .
Like them better then the front springs ..
The front springs I have been trying were to proving to be too firm .
Having a shorten rear spring is softer & improved the traction.
Had 20 Sc4x4 for tonight's Sc Saturday @ Trcr
Got 4th .... O well , awesome racing though...

Ps
Maddy !!!
Looking extra buff dude , nice work ...

My stock shocks where on point tonight, for I pushed my AE and came out with 2nd place tonight. I think that the over all of the SC 10 4x4 is good. The Losi's in the hands of a good driver just seems to have the upper hand. Their point and shoot, where as the AE you have to put alittle more into it and drive it. Wild Cherry and I where the only SC 10 4x4's in the A main, the rest was Losi's and Dingo's!!
I've been out for a year and got to race yesterday. I just copied ryan maifields latest setup on rc10.com.
I have one of the original kits. The only mods I've done is install the a carbon chassis brace and I'm running garo disc. I prefer the dual garo disc over the 3 stock discs in a basket. I have 2 stage pistons, but never installed them. I'm running on a smooth in door med-high bite track.
The landings are not very forgiving. I have to land it just right or the truck bounces around.
It likes to roll.
I could always use more forward traction, but it has a manageable amount.
Thanks for any help.

Pakk, you should try Brian K setup and try working from there. Also install the 2 stage pistons, should help with the bouncing if you are not downsiding the jumps. I'm going to try the 2 stage pistons myself. TRCR Track is smooth with high bite (fresh track with med bite for now, but our traction comes up pretty fast).
Got my FT back together last night (well kind of). I was rushing to get a run in before we tore down the track for a new layout. No sways, 8mm mod, and no less than 2* of positive camber, and the truck was awesome! Got rid of the Pro4 4600, and went down to an LRP 5.5, and the power delivery is nice and smooth. Now only if I could figure out how to program this damn Orion R10.
The rear diff gave me a click, or two, and the slipper started to glaze, but boy is it good to be back. Time to order a locking hub.
