factory team kit comes with the saddle pack conversion.

As for the 8mm mod ...

Give it a try yourself and see what you think. I and others have found that it increases rear traction. The inner ball stud position in my opinion is what when doing the 8mm mod cuts down on the traction rolling that this can cause. If you are traction rolling and want that to stop, try raising the rear inner ball stud FIRST before the mod.

But, that is my opinion, give it a shot yourself and see.

I'm sure this is here some where but...I just picked up one of these from a guy at the track and I am wondering what tools I need. Seems nothing from my ft sc10 crosses over. What sizes are the most common tha I should get first?
Thanks,
Mark

In my opinion the truck as a stocker has a very high roll center. This makes the truck unpredictable and darty, especially during rough sections of a track. You can very easily over drive it if you have a less than smooth throttle finger. Often I'd ask for way more than the truck was willing to give me, usually resulting in a traction roll or crash. After the +8mm camber mod, the rear is way more planted and I can drive the truck a lot harder-I mean ALOT harder. It's way more forgiving, and let's you charge the jumps more aggressively. Not to mention I picked up almost a full sec per lap.
Anyone ever heard an AE truck go by while marshalling that was whisper quiet? I'm trying to get mine to quiet down. I think the drivetrain by nature is not too noisy, so what's the secret? I'm running a fantom 6.5 with a Novak havoc pro sc. It's the motors I think that make all the noise in these trucks, I just bought a reedy sonic 5.5 thinking it'd be quiet, but still sounds like a meat grinder. What's the smoothest motor out there that'll make this thing whisper quiet. Any ideas? Thanks.

I think you should go the opposite direction maybe.. Go as loud as possible to scare people out of the way. You could be the "intimidator" lol

Mine is whisper quiet. I have a full set of ceramic bearings, even in my RC Shox center diff mod. I have also used a product called jigaloo on all the metal surfaces to smooth out the friction, the plastics are sprayed with it too. Its a dry film spray lube. Awesome stuff.

Taking apart a pro4 for the first time. Is this some sort of balancing putty or compacted dust on the inside lip of the rotor?

As for the exotek chassis, yes the radio box and all other pieces for the stock chassis fit into it. And yes the nerf bar screw holes on the exotek chassi are to shallow so you will need 4 3x10 cap head screws. Also the 3x14 chassis screw holes are too shallow as well so use the 3x12s from the nerf bars for them instead.

Anyone interested in a v1 exotek chassis? Let me know
I keep getting surprised by how helpful and generous members are here. Just want to say thanks in advance

Ran my truck at the track for the first time.
I had the 2.0 sway bars on front and back. I don't know if it was wrong tire choice or swaybars but I didn't have any ability to turn sharply
I broke my 3.2 rear block after my 8th high speed impact on the pipe
Hobby store had more in stock. I will try the tire of choice for my track sunday. Its a packed damp clay track, that very technical and I need to turn alot. Any sway bar suggestions? My shocks worked awesome I landed hard a few times and the shocks took the abuse great, in general I beat the hell out of this truck and minus one broken part nothing else was damaged. I hit a pipe so hard I ripped it anchors out lol.
