When you go to the SP page showing the Reventons clicks on the small tab at the tops...It says "Compare"

It will give you all the specs

http://www.speedpassion.net/reventon/home.asp

But make sure if your order go to the North American store or your Local hobby store

I think I remember you from the BrushlessHobbies.com thread. I think you will find the Speed Passion stuff to be a better product. I have run a 10.5 on the S and no issues at all. Buttersmooth, icy cold and I love the way these fans mount up. Also you get the LED program with it and can change the settings without a laptop. Try one I think you will be pleased. I run the Reventon R in my B4.1 and a Tekin 8.5 and ran the Reventon S in the SC10 with a 10.5.

I plan too. might just get the S and put a 13.5 in the kids sc10. Will the old LED programmers worth with the S and R?

No, the Reventon use their own programmers but one is included. Yes, I am from Tucson. I have seen you at the tracks a few times but have always been to busy to come introduce myself. I have the White/Green/Gray cars and mostly run on-road at comp.

1 shop? There are probably a massive amount of people who own SP products who don't even use RCTech. So gauging one store isn't fair.

From a statistical standpoint what if my hobby shop stocked 5 and all 5 worked awesome :P

In any case, SP has always been more than willing to help people if they can.

GT Pro 2.0, GT 2.1 Pro, LPF, etc. Are you just looking at it in terms of a budget? The Reventon S is a great ESC and lower priced. Either way you can't go wrong. A good number of people are racing GTs still including myself in one of my SC10s.
It's called random sampling. If a store got 20 random samples and 5 were bad out of the box you can estimate that 25 percent of the product is defective. Also means that there is a 25% chance that someone might have a problem like this. Now hopefully they will fix things in a timely manner, but it sucks to be out equipment for days or weeks.

I have one Pro, well not really as it was sent back due to being defective. I have 3 R's that have worked fine since the beginning. I have 2 S's, one was defective but fixed by my brother and the other has been fine.

So overall, my failure rate on Reventon's is 33%.

The failure that was fixed was components not being properly soldered. I will be taking the rest of mine apart once the warranty expires to verify they were assembled correctly. This won't keep me from buying more as they are a good value and SP stands behind them.

That is why I dumped the BH brand esc's. I saw that several of the boards had cold solder joints. Seems like someone in China is cutting corners and the quality of the cheaper stuff seems to be less than it was a year ago.
