+1 on no motor mount!

LOSIRACER glad to see you kept the 8ight......I almost sold mine last week but decided to keep it and have two 1/8th buggies. Just added the EB48 to my stable.

I use a Tekin RX8 as well with a T8 1700kv motor. It works great for smaller tracks and has plenty of power on a 4S lipo. If you run on a larger track, try a 1900kv motor. If you go with the 1700kv motor try 16/44 for gearing on the 8E.

I'm running the RX8/Tekin 1900KV setup on a 1/10 track that hard packed and gets dry and abrasive fast, especially in this heat. I'm burning through tires fast and wonder what most of you would use for a current limiter setting in this situation. I have mine at 80. There is an area where you have little room to get up speed to clear a triple so I need good punch but still think wheelspin may be adding to my fast tire wear. I am talking about 40 minutes and my soft compound tires are pretty much done.

I also run a RX8 and T8 1900 on 4s, I was overpowered before this setup and ran at the rear of the field, done about three meetings with the new compo and now win race's.

I have an old 8ight 1.0, just got the Tekno conversion and a 2.0 rear drive shaft to make a 1.5, are many running this setup?

I mounted one on mine, I had to raise the body mount front and rear and left about an 1/8 of an inch extra on the bottom of the body, when I get it painted I'll post a picture.
