Noticed the price on the Silver Arrow 2 is a super low $63. Is this because a newer version is coming available and if so what were the issues with the old one. That's too good of a price to pass up. Also I have the programming box for the HobbyWing system....will that work on this ESC as well? Thanks.

in general from those I have talked with before purchasing the SAV2 it appears main complaint was overall size of the ESC. Failures were in line with whatever everyone else is seeing in general in 1/8 electric, maybe a bit less. Main plus I heard about personally was how smooth it is as well as the fact it stays cool.
Its also wired out of the box for dual lipo usage so for those who need that, you are all set basically out of the box.
If you have the LCD Programmer box, the one that will work with the GT2.0 speed controls, my personal experience is that it works using Speed passion only firmware, etc. Pretty nice not having to lug around a pc.

what software is recommended when using the SP GT2.0 Pro in 4x4 SCT with a 4 Pole 540 motor? I have read that 205MOD works but there is another MOD profile that is even better (runs cooler), just can remember which.

Don't expect the new one coming out anytime soon....we are just blowing those price out simply because.........we have nothing to do. Really.

The BLAZE should be release around end of August.....as well as the 1/8th version of the BLAZE motor.

Of the three profiles Raul mentions, which is the one with better temps in 4x4 SCT on 2S? I thought it was 119Mod, can't remember.
For 428STOCK, what do you need to set the various options to to turn off a certain feature like boost and super charger?

Overall, you can still use that motor....

SOLD! Did you have to do anything different with the HW box or was it a plug and play situation?

I have always run 17.5 blinky, and I am now going to try running mod 2wd buggy by boosting my Revtech 17.5 (12.5mm HT rotor) motor. I am planning on initially testing with the motor timing turned all the way down and using the boost adjustments on my GT2.0. I am using V3.0_120428Stock software. I see the boost timing maxes at 64 and the turbo timing maxes at 40. Do the numbers reflect actual timing in degrees, or are they just a linear scale? Also, how do the 2 different timings interact?

Hey Guys,
I just received the above mentioned ESC by fed ex today and it comes with a programming box. Do I need anything else to get me going? I am going to give this esc a try with a Thunder Power 5.0 550 motor in my Durango DESC 410. I'm currently using a Tekin RX 8 with a 4000 4 pole motor and appreciate any feedback you can give me.
Thanks,

I just got a 10.5 Ultra Sportsman V3 motor and looking for some confirmation on my initial gearing. It is being used in a 2wd off-road buggy. The transmission ratio is 2.6, and i am starting with a 72/30 combo, which gives a 6.24 fdr. Is this too much? should it be around 5.6 to 5.8? It seemed from my first run that the motor temp wasn't too bad, but the ESC seemed a bit on the hot side. I'd appreciate any help, as i am still learning when it comes to running brushless.

Silver Arrow V2 maiden voyage as excellent. better than how my silver Arrow V1 went.
May move it to the other side of my car since its so big to get better room for pinion mesh.
