I made the mistake of not looking to the future when I bought my SP Short Course Master ESC and a v3 17.5 Comp. Motor, because at our track and others in my area have stopped running 17.5 2wd SCT and now it's mod/open 2wd SCT. Anyway I didn't really look at amp info when I got the ESC since I got it so cheap and it has worked great with the 17.5 but I don't think it has enough juice to be able to run with other trucks in open 2wd since it only allows 9.5 turn. Should go ahead I get another ESC if so whats the best choice for 2wd open SCT? Thanks!

So heres what happened today running two different 17.5's. I was able to stay somewhat competitive on tight track with no staights against mod cars.
Tried
SP V3 with 10 deg max phys timing geared 69/34...about 130f..decent
SP MMM with 20 deg timing green board 69/34 about 180f ...bit quicker
SP MMM with 11 deg...75/33 about 155f ...decent

Not sure where to gear the MMM...I experienced the same indoor on carpet running TC blinky. Way hotter than V3.

How do i set boost on my LPF 2.0 ESC? When I look at the ESC set up sheets on the website there are settings for:

12. SC boost level
13. SC RPM delay
14. SC Full throttle delay
15. SC Punch

When I hook up my programming box to the ESC I don't see these settings.

Am I missing something?

Feels a bit softer than V3. I've beat the hell out of 17t V3's ...boosted in stock SC. Never ever got them babies as hot as this MMM. It's like if I gear it more for lower temps it will be even slower than the V3. I'm gonna clean it out and check bearings, but other than that I'm stumped. Maybe I should go down more on pinion and go up on physical timing?

I haven't got a MMM yet, but the v3's love timing...in my experience any way

I would gear down and up the timing

Turn your turbo up to 9 in your esc, not boost. Run 69/33. I run the gt 2.1 prostock and v3 17.5 in my rb5 wc comes Off at 100 degrees.

First you need the optional LCD program box. It has a USB port to download the boosted firmware/software from the web site. Look under the video tab to see how. But I think you need to go to the GT 2.1 download tab to get the latest firmware version (V1.36, 110323 for boost if I remember correctly).

LCD Professional Program Card

So I have owned the GT 2.0 for a few months now and the whole time I have been trying to get it to blinky mode.

I know how to do it but I cant find a programing box anywhere besides HONG KONG. I was told by a speed passion guy here on the thread to talk to a few of there team racers here in CA for the stock nats race.

I approached them the day before the race and let them know my issue. I do a lot of research so I knew exactly what needed to be done. Unfortunately the team driver said he knew how to change it and just changed every setting to 1 or the lowest it would go. I didn't want to question him because he obviously knew more than I did.....well my car felt completely flat afterword and this is what I found.

I went to look at the manual and found that all my settings were wrong and my throttle curve and width were all screwed up. It was just kind of disappointing when your told to ask the drivers at the track and they try a quick fix and ensure you its right just for the sake of time. I rather them say sorry I don't have the ability to change it with out a laptop and send me on my way.

I could go on but I think you get the idea that I am questioning my purchase due to the passion for customers and your willingness to help. Its a great ESC but with out the ability to change the settings so i can race its hard to make sense of it.

I was just wondering, should I update the firmware update? Will it change it much or is it just about the same?
