I'm looking to purchase a dual lipo battery charger. I was curious what some of you are using and/or recommendations you may have. I read alot about the Hyperion Duo line of chargers, and they do get good reviews but I always like to know what else is out there.

It's in Union City (SF area). Let me know when you are coming and to what area. I'm sure we can find a race to get you into and that track is always open for practice.

I have 2 Hyperion duo chargers here. They can charge up to 15 amps per channel. Just make sure you have the power supply to support it. I use a much more 24 amp ps at the track and I have to limit each side to 8.5 amps or it shuts off. At home I have a Maxamps 24v brick ps. I don't remember how many amps it pushes But it will run 2 Hyperion duo charges pumping 15amps x4 into 4 seperate packs.

I'm using a Hyperion DUO3 0615i (2x 15A/180W) with a 12V/700W server power supply. I usually only charge at 1C though.

So if your batteri is 5600 your charge with 1*5.6A=5.6A.

1 X Capacity

All of my batteries are 5600 - 6600mA so I charge at 6A. I have charged at 15A, but I try to have 2 packs for each car so I can run one while the other is charging.

Wasn't poking its just cause you have a good setup if you always charged at 1c it would be a waste some say don't charge above one C cause of lipo life so they don't.

Well, I have charged all the way up to 15A, but I puffed an Intellect 5600/50C pack right after I started doing that. It was about a year old at that point and I had just upped the motor in my SCTE around the same time. They were probably due. I have had really good results charging at 1-1.5C. Right now I have 2 packs for each car so I don't feel the need to charge any faster anyway.

The carbon straps will be available July 3rd. I will probably prepare the initial shipment during the holiday. I have 40 sets available and about 15 are spoken for.

Send an email to [email protected] with the exact words SERCARBON01 in the subject line and you will receive an instant link to paypal. Thanks for the interest. First class shipping is included, US orders only. I can ship overseas, will need to work directly with you for pricing on that option.

I have the venom duo. Its the exact same thing as the protek 610 duo except its cheaper, got mine for 110.00 and it has worked perfect so far. I also bought the protek super 20 power supply. Works great when charging my 2 5800 lipos at once

I was just swapping out a glitching rx8 and I went to test it, I was able to use wired batts (non bullet) with the CF batt straps. That's a big plus in my book as I tore up 4 wired thunderpower packs previously.

Got lucky on that one. :-) Post pics of the wired batteries, I don't have any to see how they fit.
