SC10 4x4 Thread
This mod made a big improvement on mine. p581
raising the rear camber link appears to help.
Please pardon the shameful infighting following that info.... some seem to struggle with questions from newer folk trying to figure things out.

Thanks! I'll try to find that as well
Not really a common problem..but it is a 2wd so your not going to have the traction of a 4wd. Their are so many variables it's really hard to give solid fix it answers..but here's a few..
Why are you using a sway bar? On a 2wd the only time I would ever run a sway bar is on a high traction track. Just a few questions..what's your ride height set
at? How tight is your slipper..ball diff or gear diff? If gear diff are you running fluid or grease? And if fluid what wt. are you running..what tires did you change
to? You see how many different "things" can affect rear traction..having to much steering can also cause the rear to lose traction..but I would start with the sway bar..

This is my 4wd I am talking about. My rear and front ride height is set at 27mm. I've got 10k in the front and 5k in the rear. I've got the MTK clutch basket and garodisc with the nut flush. I tried a smaller pin and medium pin tire with no real notice in change. I've got 30wt in the front and 27.5 in the rear for shock oil. The only change from box set up is I moved the rear shocks inward and left everything else the same.

hey guys , i have a question about the rtr sc1200 esc. its a great esc and i have had no problems with it,its why i havent replaced it.
in the last two weeks two of my lipos puffed. i never over charged them but the lipo cut off on the esc is 3.0v. i was wondering if that had anything to do with it ? or maybe the quality of the packs, they are duratrax 5000mah 25c packs. i know other people running them and havent seen them have any issues.
the packs arent even a year old.

25C is somewhat low for a heavy truck like this. Also, 3V is a very low cut-off point.. Since only total pack voltage is checked, it's very easily possible that one cell was at 3.4V under load and the other at 2.6V, which is still the 6V for the cutoff, but already harmful for the low cell.

Well Associated 'finally' took care of 1/3 of my warranty issue. (still have not been contacted or responded to for 3 months now) I've given up on the other two problems and will just 'out of wallet' them with someone else's products. I will no longer be calling them "team" associated as they have obviously shown they are not on 'my' team.
I decided that i'm going to keep my truck and just be solo. I will drive AE chassis and nothing else. no more LRP and no more REEDY or anything that I have to call AE for.
------------------
I need new front axles and CVA pins and once I get it together i'm going to setup Cameron's sheet he posted, along with the 8mm mod and start at this truck aggressively again. My Slash 4x4 is my benchmark (inb4 low benchmark: You need to see and drive a LCG Slash 4x4, you'll keep quiet) I'm sure I can hit the benchmark quickly with some refreshed practice and i'm going to rely on you guys more than myself for some guidance. I've realized i'm a much better Traxxas tuner than an AE tuner.
Going to make it out to daves to drive my Slash and see Cameron drive.

Tech? Not so much. But the whole puppy slayer thing might keep me out of Banned Camp another week.
ok thanks... should my ride height be 24 front and back? Everything else set-up wise is box stock. So I'm not sure about the spacers on the shocks. I also just checked my set up sheet and I've got 25wt for the rear shocks.
Yeah..I run mine 24 front and rear, I run heaver on the oil also..and I run a front sway bar..from what I see..the rear dampening being to light allows to abrupt weight transfer..and this causes your truck to be very unsettled..

Figured I'd share the anodized black Exotek. Cost me $50 bucks though!

Very nice. How are you liking the batterys in that configuration compared to centerline?
