I've heard the underbody negatively affects handling, but how?

Hmm, that is interesting...With that setup I would think that you would have more steering than you would be able to use.

Possibly just try tweaking it in with alignment if you like how the truck handles other than the push. Maybe a bit of negative camber would help or even a couple degrees of toe out to get it turning at slower speeds.

What is your ride height like front to back? Maybe go down to yellow rears and preload them a little more to get the front some more low speed traction?

for those of you that have mounted fans on the chassis facing the motor, are you cutting out the middle portion of the vertical part in front of the motor ? the part that the receiver box clips to ?

i dont know if that part has and benefit from being there. i drilled a large hole but its not quite as large as the diameter of the fan. just wonder if i should cut it out.

thanks.

Yea, as long as you are running a chassis brace I wouldnt worry about it. I would try to keep it away from the edge though, the further toward the center the better in my mind.

I cant believe you guys are getting push out of this truck!! I have seen some on power push issues with V1 cdif but those days are long gone. maybe you should post up your setup. Remember that sometimes push comes from the back and not the front. Super high front dif fluids and spacers under the front inner links will contribute to turn in push.

I had a low speed push too. I got the RCShox ackbar and set it to the second hole from the front. A little toe out, and BAMMO! Steering galore! Btw, I still run this outdoors Ain't NOBODY getting underneath me in the corners

I dunno what you're talking about. lol. I've had push since day 1. I have never solved it no matter how much I asked here. C-diff, weight dist, etc. Nothing changed that. It might be a little worse than my Slash 4x4's push.

I have to reduce my throttle to 0% before I start the turn and into 60% of the turn before I can throttle out of it, or I slingshot out of any decent lane.

the piece im talking about i doubt has anything to do with the stiffness of the chassis from front to back but more from side to side and the long ft chassis brace does nothing for side to side flex.

i circled the part iam talking about on the chassis in the pic below.

I know what piece you are talking about, its fine. In my mind the chassis brace does help a bit with side to side flex as well...If the chassis twists the distance between the two mounting points gets longer therefor the chassis brace should help.

I was more worried about the top cover piece breaking when I cut mine, I cut both the top and bottom, but that would only really happen under front to back flex.

Just picked up a 4x4. Love It so far. Just had a gearing question. Running a Novak havoc pro sc with a 4.5 Novak motor. What gearing do you guys recommend for cool temps (I race on a medium size/medium speed hard packed track).

i had to do a little cutting to the top piece as well but just enough to let the air through. its still intact.
