Like an 8th scale wing mount? That seems like a decent idea, how do you like it so far? DO you feel like you go through more or less wings?

I vastly prefer how it fits. As far as whether I go through more wings...I'm pretty sure you would if you flip your car a fair amount. My driving has been improving to the point where I still suck but don't end up violently upside down as much anymore. I can't for the life of me remember who showed me this idea but they used a couple of the blue coned rear axle washers for the washer on the wing.

I used cone washers and tapered head bolts. I wont use the body clip method ever again.

That looks awesome. Can you share the part numbers for the washers, nuts and bolts. I assume then you just drill out the holes on the wing posts?

Is the longer chassis gonna make this thing a lot easier to drive?

I drove on a outdoor track that was a little loose and this thing was a handful to drive. I kept having to loosen the slipper, take off e.p.a. on the transmitter, etc to keep it from spinning the tires and getting all squirrely. I really want the stability.

Everybody and their mother is going to 22's around here.
Then you need to join them then.

Are you guys screwing the bolt right into the wing mount or are you using a nut underneath?

No, just mounting it the way it was designed to be mounted...

Default Using tungsten instead of lead

Found some tungsten plates online. 1/2oz each, 1/16" thick. Machined pockets in the chassis and rear chassis plate.

I have to check the part numbers, but its just AE cone washers like used on the top plate and the bolts are 5/40 x 1/2 or 3/8 tapered head. Dremel down the nipples so its flush, then drill a hole for the bolt. Not sure what size bit I used but I think I used a #40 .0980. I drilled a tiny pilot hole first. No nut on the back.
