Ok since no one seems to be able to help with this question, The next one is does it matter what slipper pad im using? Are the diff ones used for different running types? Ex.. should i be using a different one for bashing then im using for racing? If so can anyone point me to where i can find this info..

Thanks

Slipper pads would be the same for bashing or racing...as far as the spur gear goes...are you running the gear mesh too tight or possibly too loose? I don't know what else it could be if your pinion/spur gear mesh is good.

There is only one type of pad I am aware of. Use the same ones no matter how your driving. Your stripping the spur either because your mesh is wrong or your slipper is too tight.

Im not sure if its to tight or to loose. I put a piece of paper in between them and then tighten the screws. Im planing on buying a 81T spur gear and a 48P 19T pinion see if that helps. Right now trying to run a 16T pinion. Is the 19T a bigger gear? Size wise?

As long as the pitch is the same it doesn't matter. I run way more motor and do not strip the spur unless mesh is bad

Default Pusihin,on power

Hey all,

tried searching threads and found a few.... I just built a B4.1 worlds. I installed a LRP ESC and a 17.5 Rev Tech. I am pushing like crazy (on power, off power it will turn) I have a small amount of toe in, but dont think its too much. I have read that it may be that the diff is too tight. Any help, and how would i loosen ball diff if it is too stiff?

thanks
A.T.

Those are the regular shocks with aluminum caps on them
Edit: Maybe not, the caps look like they are two different colors.

So is what I do is push the motor all the way against the spur. Then I pull it back just a tiny bit. Hold the pinion and make sure the spur wiggles ever so slightly. I check the wiggle at 4 different spots on the spur as they are not always perfect. As long as it wiggles in seems to work for me.

Sorry that may not help ;-)

2 ways you can do this that are super easy. Take a pinion 1 size larger and put on motor and tighten motor so pinion is tight meaning no wiggle, then install pinion you want on. should give you exact play wanted or take a piece of notebook paper, make it roll it between the spur and pinion tighten motor and remove the paper. Both methods work and will give u the idea of what correct mesh is,
