I experienced the transponder issue for the first time yesterday. It has ran perfect in the stock location since the car came out. But yesterday I had issues. I mounted it n top of the Rx box with some double side tape and no more issues. I have one of the newer tiny transponders and the red ligt blinks so through the front window it looks like a heart beat at night.
. Idk what the issue is with mounting it under a rx8 but there seems to be one.

I started the build last night and kit is nice really like the the drive boots ..ran into a issue though the front diff seems tight no matter what shims I use ...it seems like the pinion is coming close to touching the diff case and i need some backup screws for holding in that bearing the phillips head is about to go ..anything else someone found that works ?

You can't make a blanket statement that they will break in just fine building as described in the manual. There are always minor differences in the diff case. I'm building one right now and neither the front or back will be shimmed anywhere close to the manual suggestion. On the rear I had to pull the shim on the crown gear side. It's tight but I know that one will wear right in. For the front I'm gonna end up with 2 or maybe 3 shims opposite the crown gear, none on the crown side and none on the pinion just to get it to spin at all. The front diff fit is silly tight.

If it was just tight then I'd run it and let it break in but this feels like something else almost like the crown gear is not flat on diff case because i feel highs and lows when turning .. and the rear and center don't feel this tight and are smooth ..tonight ill figure it out maybe shim opposite side of crown gear might help
