His car did look very stable in that vid. He was using a narrowed down t4.1 chassis right? Even with the + 8 chassis my b4.1 is still a good bit shorter than my tlr22.

Define "full length". Standard B4.1 or +8.

Hey guys I have been having a problem with my b4.1 for a while now and I can't figure it out. The problem is every time I push my front shock up there is a little click when the shaft is about 2cm from being fully inside the shock body this happens to both of the front shocks and i think it has something to do with the steering assemble because every time the click happens the front wheel moves a little.

Doesn't that make give the buggy a wheelbase that's longer than ROAR max allowed?

i do believe so, it was stupid long. i dont think it was a big deal for ready, and most tracks dont care when there racing... unless you go to a roar sanctioned event

I just checked and ROAR max for buggy is 292mm, AE website shows the T4 wheelbase is 288mm and the B4Worlds is listed as 281mm (with a standard B4.1 being 273mm), so I guess it makes for a legal buggy. On a T4 chassis, it would make a buggy +15 over a standard and +7 over a Worlds spec. I'm wondering if he's also running his electronics inline to take advantage of narrowing the chassis wings, and maybe springing a little lighter.

I know that Avid makes bodies for a buggy on a truck chassis, anyone else?

In any case, I'm sure that it's all part of AE research on the track. Whatever we end up getting for a B5 is sure to be legal, and hopefully again sets the standard for others to follow.

Heck, with the addition of the +8 chassis, I think it's still a fine ride!

If I recall Isn't the Losi 22 still 5mm+ over the +8mm chassis for the B4.1?
I know with the +8 chassis and inline axles total is like +13mm.

Now I don't feel like a dumb a$$ for asking about the T4 chassis... I'm gonna swap my stuff over and see how it goes... I would like to see a pic of how he narrowed it. I will mill it down a little on each side and see how it goes. I want to see if he added anything for stability...

I've got a quick question for you guys. I've got the Worlds Edition on it's way and wanted to know if a Mamba Max Pro esc will fit. Also, are there any hop ups or upgrades that need to be done on this model buggy?

Thanks a lot guys I really appreciate it

ohhhhh i love my setup with +8 and inline axels

however, even with there being "rumors" of a new car being released, such as a b5, i gurantee its at the minimum of 6 months. They just let out the worlds edition, plus, if it is true that there will be a B5, they would of course let the rumor out waaaaaay ahead of time. All i hope is that is has big bore, and that it isnt as expensive as the 22, so i can snag that bad boy up the day its out.
