Anyone know the cheapest place to buy the exotek chassis?
I remember someone mentioning it with a link for about $90 but I cannot find it now...I've searched this forum...

Thanks.

I don't think it'll divide it, as this grows, the class will define itself better.

It's all Traxxas' fault. Too bad they missed the mark on performance, because they defined the 8th scale size for their "10th scale" truck.

I agree 100% but unfortunately it is evolving away from what it was originally intended And that puts the SC10 at a disadvantage, unless we can figure this out! its not over yet, i am not throwing in the towel

I have lots 1/10th gas truck experience on 1/8th scale layouts ..

Only way a 1/10th car is gona perform the way it was intended on those tracks is if they redesign the layout for a 1/10th scale ride..

It won't happen, the 1/8th guys would never allow a 1/10th to go as fast as their precious 1/8th buggy on there layouts ....

Reality is a bitch

Questions??

im curious to know what everyone thinks about the 'Factory Team' tire setup.. Suburb Rears, Holeshot Fronts.

beginner setup, or race proven?

im going to try it only because when i bought my HoleShots i didnt realize there was a '2.0' version of all these tires (i bought 1.0).. So im getting a set of '2.0' Suburbs and will play matchmaker to see what happens.. any predictions?

no experience running the truck on carpet , but I have plenty of experience with slicks & high traction surfaces...

As a rule never change set-up much for slicks or higher traction .

Just adjust the ride height 1m to 2 m lower (22.5m <> 23.5 m ) that is all ...

I am going to run that setup tomorrow night with another guy. I ran calibers up front and suburbs in the rear and it was a very nice improvement. I'm excited to see how the holeshots work since they are more of a "race" tire.

My prefered clay track tires:

JC double D greens front
HB Beams Pink rear

DDs didn't have enough side bite for the rear, Beams had too much for the front. mixing gave me balance.

Still running the same 8 tires I glued up last May.
