Using the YeahRacing fan to cool the motor would help the stock slipper pads too? Isn't the heat that mess the stock pads up coming from the motor?

this is what i used on my chassis and also what i use to balance wheels. YOU WILL NOT GET THE SAME EFFECT AS EXOTEK. i tried it, trust me. even with the chassis brace, is not the same. it definitely does help though. i tried it lining the entire center section of chassis, then just the front half. it was better with the front half (i did not have saddle conversion though, would have been even better)

you still have all the flex of regular chassis though, and when you increase weight, i think you need to remove flex to keep the truck controllable. with the flex gone, it makes the truck sluggish at slower speeds, but better for more aggressive driving at faster speeds. it is the lateral flex that needs to stiffen up, not just longitudinal as the brace fixes

just make sure your battery still fits alright, it is not that thick, but made it a tight fit with the revtech 6500 (slightly thicker battery case)

Dynamat may work as well. Not quite as heavy as lead though.

No, that heat is generated by the pads themselves. People have used a temp gun on the slipper and discovered it was way hotter then their motor.

You are correct sir. Yellow in the front blue in the rear. I had it backwards in my post.

Hey Broseph'.

Remember the part where people couldn't tighten it "enough" to not have the plates just spin with no acceleration at all?

Or is that another user error from 75% of the Sc10 4x4 population like the A-arm?
=====

Chassis braces are out. I'm going to start slimming down on parts due to the possibility of the FT Sc10 sometime in the first quarter. I won't be needed then.
