yes, it makes the car stiffer so the suspension and setup really works better. The decreased mechanical traction from the stiffer chassis makes the car handle much better.

I agree that you must inspect and replace suspect balls....

Are you hell bent on Hitec? If not, the ProTek 130SS is very good. Also the Savox SC-1257TG. Word of caution on these because they draw more power you might need a BEC if the speed control does not...
