Lots of fun at this track and great layout. Raced my Blitz in Open SC but can't wait to race blinky buggy again.

Sorry I couldn't make it out on Sunday. You did really well, must be the shocks I sent you, lol.

Whoever had the most powerful motor would win and all you had to do was hold the throttle wide open. Now you can use normal (super soft) tires. It now takes skill and proper setup to get around the track. But the track surface is still tire friendly, and even super soft tires will last a long time.
I am also glad this has changed. The traction was great but it did exactly what you say, made everyone squeeze the heck out of the trigger. A little more challenging on the setup.

Another great weekend of practice/Racing. They had two heats for rookie and stock buggies. I ran Open SC but I am putting a buggy together so I can join the fun in that class.

That looks like a lot of fun. You can't get those in a kit? Only RTR?

Yup - no kit version

Losi came out with 2 new special edition RTR's - Drake and Phend versions.
These have upgraded electronics compared to the orignal RTR's (tx, rx, esc, servo, motor and lipo).

These two new versions are the one that most are using at the track.

Sounds like the spec class will have the following items:
Must use - stock ESC, Motor, Tires
Lipo - 2 cell (up to 2200mah)
You can use your own TX and RX.
At the moment, it looks like suspension and durability upgrades are allowed.

I will post more details when they finalize the Spec details.

Oh well, was going to throw my Tekin 1/18 setup in on the cheap but a B4 is on my short list so the Mini 8 will have to wait

Practice day today right? Heading out with a buddy soon.

Great time last night! Man those mini's are fast! Clicking off low 18's with a 1/14 scale?

Lots of fun, getting to know the layout, will be on the hunt for the elusive lap in the 17's next run 18.2 is about the best I could get, I think I heard a 18.1 once. Gotta beat that step up right before the straight
