I've chewed up a few diffs here and there over the years, but spare crown and pinion gears cheap so I can't complain too much. I did sheer off all of the screws once though that was rather impressive.

I agree it does look like an upgraded WL Toys. I like the wheelie bar and the use of hex hardware.
I would still rather have an LC Racing car over this, it followed so many of WL Toys stupid design...

Yes. The Spectrum 120a esc is just a rebranded Hobbywing Max10 SCT anyway. You can mix and match brands of escs and motors. You could run that motor with a Castle Mamba X if you wanted to.

Yes and no. The long wheelbase cars have a second position to mount the strap too so you can run longer batteries. But the width is the same.
