I had a sensor board in a g3r motor crap out. Acts like the sensor wire is bad. Tried multiple esc’s and sensor wires. Would be fine for a minute or two then act up again. It was the motor itself....

The reds r5r doesn’t have a dlc crank which is why it’s sold at a lower price than Reds other engines. It’s a good engine though.

Try a different charger. I would think those packs should be fine at the voltages your getting on the multimeter. You want to store at 7.6 volts for future reference.

I agree with Bill. As long as your motor is tight with thread lock and your mesh is set correctly your spur should last a fairly long time. Never a bad idea to have a spare though when at the track.

One advantage is less rotating mass over metal, not as much over aluminum.
