Fun is heck is fine, just be aware of the limitations of the setup. While I agree that a lot of batteries may not perform as rated, what we're looking for is people not to rely on "burst" ratings. A 20c lipo can damage the ESC due to not handling the load and creating serious amounts of "ripple" current that the ESC must deal with. Too much of this is of course bad and creates a lot of heat.
Good batteries hold up to the loads with less ripple current creating a lot less "work" for the ESC.

Ahh yes of course. Thankfully that wont be an issue with the batteries i'm using as they have been rigorously user-tested and the performance is not only well known but proven (but of course, still not at the marketing departments "C" numbers but at the upper echelon of performance proven batteries).
Only thing i'm waiting on now is the HW3.
Hopefully it doesn't take long to get to AUS.

Installed my new RX8 Gen3 this week... the new solder post are great.
Connected to the hotwire via my pc and easy set-up and save
Raced with it today and smooth as silk, thanks for the great product Tekin

Oh no.
Finally had time to get mine together this last weekend. Tested it with a storage charged battery just quickly and all went well. Finished some car setup etc then connected everything with a charged battery... as soon as i throttled.. pop and nothing. Bad PCB/electronics smell.
Error code with 4 outside lights blinking. noooooooooo

Please contact [email protected] I was at the ROAR E Nats this past weekend and in 100+ degree temps nobody had a single failure on the Gen3. Matter of fact we haven't seen a non-user failure yet. I'd like you to email us all the details of this issue please.
I have video of all three times i tried to throttle (the only three times the ESC had any THR. signal other then zero). Perhaps this will help?

I've looked around and didnt see anything on the subject, but maybe someone here can answer. When using the hotwire 3.0 with the rx8, do I lose the fan? All videos I've seen show it installed with fanless esc's.

First make sure you use the .exe version since some Win10 computers don't have unzip software. 2nd if you have an older version simply go to your "Control Panel" and uninstall the old one first.
Then double click the new .exe file and follow the prompts.

Yes it's one or the other. Most of us only use the fan in 4wd SC and E Truggy.
