Would it be unheard of to run this in a Monster Truck (MT410)? I need the small footprint this ESC provides because of the Truggy length motor I plan on using. I have been running the gen 2 in a SCT410 for a few years and it has been rock solid.

it should handle whatever you throw at it short of a 1/5 scale

That's my understanding but the link randy posted previously doesn't quote prices i can see.. also is there any DISADVANTAGE to using the RX4 over the RX8 , heavier case, splashproof, same power handling? whats the RX8 got that makes it more expensive? or better?

It's going to be around $125 + shipping when you send in your ESC for an upgrade.

Not sure about the Gen 3. But the Gen 2 was an offroad only esc. The onroad boys tried them, and they blew smoke pretty quickly as they couldnt handle the constant high power draw that 1/8 onroad puts on them.

Trying to calibrate with Hitec Radio(Lynx) IT calibrates fine but then runs in reverse order(pull trigger, car goes in reverse). I reverse the operation on the throttle channel of the radio and it wont calibrate. Any ideas?

I've got two of these (one in an 1/8 ebuggy and the other in an 1/8 etruggy). I have to say I am super impressed with them. The buggy runs a 2000kv tekin truggy motor on 4s and the truggy is running a 1350kv tekin truggy motor - both run great. I really love the data logging capabilities. I also sprung for the bluetooth hotwire and have one on each car. I love being able to make adjustments with my smart phone.
Also - the buggy I have found doesn't need a cooling fan. The ESC at the end of a 10 minute run is sitting at 105ish degrees. The truggy runs just a few degrees warmer (expected because it's bigger and heavier). Simply awesome stuff.

I am interested in the logging data ability via HW, does anybody knows if I get the gen3 Rx8 and buy a Hotwire 2.0 will I be able to view the data log on a cell phone ? Or is it exclusively usable on PC ?
