Is the fan not needed for 1/8 e-buggy? Can I use a splitter?

Most of us don't run the fan in 1/8 Buggy using typical setups. Right now you can't run a splitter.

Would just like to say i got taken care of. And my car is now awesome and i'm very happy with how it performs with a properly functioning ESC.

its a rocket! I thought i stuffed up my calcs... but thankfully i did not and it performs brilliantly and better then expected.

My Gen 3 will be here Friday. The last one was messed up when my motor mount came loose and wires were flying every where. Tekin is a great company for their support, thank you to all the Tekin staff. I will be cutting it close for the race Saturday.

Somebody told me this was supposed to have some basic water proofing on it... Is that true? I have the generation 2 on my three outdoor cars and over the years I have blown up a couple when I have got a little splash of water on them that I didn't think was actually going to blow them up. A little bit of water resistance would be nice not that I'm splashing through puddles but there's the odd time you find a little bit a water on the day after rain or after the tracks been watered

Randy said something about the boards being coated?? It would be nice as I use liquids to blow off the car after a race, clay can be tough to clean, definitely not carpet. I don't understand how they could make it any smoother than the Gen 2?

There is a basic conformal coat on the boards but "spalshing" where water can get into the ESC decently would become an issue if you continued to drive the car.

The Rx4 is however element proof and would handle most of what the Rx8 can do as well, and perhaps moving forward a better choice for you.

Got a chance to use the RX8 gen 3, and it is very fast. My problem has been the Hot Wire as I have an older one and it has given me fits before. I was able to use the ESC as it was. I did very well and had my best night ever, placing fourth in the B main, it was a blast. I was only 1 lap off the leader. I decided to turn the juice down(72%) and get used to the new layout and it worked very well. Then each lap I kept adding more juice and had a blast. I was running 80% in the main. The guy who won our B main finished 4th in the A main.

Need a good base esc setup running the RX8 gen3 with a Pro2 5100kv on SCTMod racing oval. I use Futaba radios and specktrum servos. Thanks!

By the way I used shoo goo to bond the RX8 G3. I have never had a problem with it coming loose, never. Plus it adds a layer of cushioning as well.

I'm sure it could be used on both applications, (I only race offroad) but it is very popular in off road SCT, 1/8 Buggys & Truggys.

It's built for 1/8 racing. On or off doesn't matter.

I like it a lot. My best race ever was with this esc. I had plenty of power and it was also very smooth. I have a feeling this will be their best one yet.
