Anyone else having issues like this....
1. My Torque setting reads three different values depending on where I check it.
Quicktune will read 2
PC will read 5
Hotwire 3.0 BT will read 4 (IOS) 15.29.0 build 180605ck
All other settings read properly..
I am using version 272
2. I am not the only one with this next one....
I use the Sanwa M12 and like to utilize its Race Mode Options which changes the throttle D/R on the fly.
The ESC does NOT recognize a change from WOT until the D/R reaches 84%....Basically 85-100 is still WOT to the ESC, and I have confirmed this by the LED's all lit and flashing at WOT and do not change until the D/R reaches 84%. The brakes D/R values are way off as well.
If changes are made to the EPA it operates correctly.
I have done hard resets, reinstalling updates, etc........nothing changes. Also correctly calibrated at 100%
I have a buddy who uses the M12 and race modes and D/R rate adjustments...His does the same thing

Yes that is a known error in the apps that will be fixed in the next release version.
Not sure exactly what the D/R is doing signal wise. We are doing exactly what the signals tell us to do so it indicates that they are not actually changing anything on there side until below 85, or at least not enough we are noticing. The fact that using the EPA does work backs this up. If I read this right and you are just trying to reduce full throttle on the fly then it sounds like you just have to set D/R below 85 to get what you want. IE setting 75 is really giving you 90% throttle perhaps.

So, "error in the apps" I would assume you are referring to the mobile app and that the PC software is displaying the correct value.

Yes I could have made that more clear. The PC program is showing the correct value.
Please note the quicktune shows 2 because it only adjust from 4 to 10, There are only the top 7 steps in the quicktune since few use below setting 4.
Truth is setting 2 and 3 or even 1 are not that slow in 1/8 scale on 4s or with some low turn 1/10 motors. Below about 6 with a 17.5 is pretty doggy, but acts like a pretty impressive traction control and you can hammer throttle without it stepping out in super loose conditions or when teaching someone to drive. Most cannot get over the maucho of thinking why would I reduce power, but once set right and you see the extra fwd bite due to not pin wheeling the tires it is pretty impressive. If you are setting 5 you are one of the smart ones

Do you have any expo built into the radio? That could explain the difference, eg reducing 15% on the D/R only reduces the actual output signal by 3-5%. There is a small buffer built in to make sure you are getting full throttle, but not 15%.

I have confirmed that with Sanwa engineers. If you want to reduce your throttle power I always suggest EPA. Brake D/R does work similar to turning down Brake EPA so that should be fine. In my opinion that feature should have been called "Brake Strength or Brake Power" since the D/R or "dual rate" label is misleading.

I really liked how smooth and linear the 1700 kv motor on 4s in my RC8T3.1e, but the tracks I raced on were never larger than 120 feet or so on the straight. The 2000 kv motor would guaranty you had enough power for any track you came across, but would feel less precise on smaller tracks.
